We're ttc baby #2 and I want a vbac with this one, but i'm not sure what to expect. I was under general anesthesia because an epidural wasn't able to be done. I know that natural births are a whole different ball game, but how did you feel after the birth compared to how you felt after your c-section. Please share.

I haven't experienced a VBAC or a c-setion but I can tell you that I was out of bed and walking an hour after delivering (the soonest they would let me although I wanted to get up sooner with a few). I was shakey on my feet at first and very off balance while I adjusted to no longer having the belly. My body, especially my back ached, like I'd just been through a major workout, which it had! The first 24 hours wasn't too bad, it was "the day after" that I felt like I'd been hit by a truck lol! By the next day I felt better though. I was lucky and didn't tear or need stitches so I only had very minor tenderness "down there", probably comparable to a long bike ride or a marathon baby making session lol.
