Yes, we have them in the USA, I believe they are called "call tunes" or "call back tunes". They are nice if you think people will enjoy listening to a song instead of a ring. Personally I have no use for them, I love ring tones instead :)

I used to have a caller tune for my mobile for about an year.later i felt it was just too much for me to spent 1$ every month for this system so i took this off.also at certain times,i had complaint with this service as it gets interupted in between.now i have stopped setting the caller tunes and i am really happy with my regular tone.i think all operators provide this facility now.arlier my friends used to set caller tunes and we really had fun,but now every one seems to have got bored of this thing and all has stopped using this facility.I think the craze for such a thing has ended atleast among my friends.now a days we are more concerned about the utility rather than the musical tone.the problem is when we are calling someone for an urgent purpose or to tell a sad news,it really iriitates when the callee's tune is some rock song,at such a situation it really seems awkward.

yes, its usually charge you something to put that feature. it depends on a person, some people want to have a fancy tube put in. when you are happy with that, good for you.

I think it is a complete waste of money as I do not see how a caller tune add value to anything. Since my phone is used for both business and personal purposes, I do not think the caller tune is that appropriate. Anyway, that is my opinion. Others may not agree. LOL!
