Webkinz the new thing?

Not sure how long the webkinz have been around but I keep hearing about them like they are the new thing. How many of you or your kids play on the webkinz site? How many have you collected? There are only a couple of places around here that sell the dolls. This year that will be what I get most of the girls in our family for Christmas. They are all different ages and even though my daughter is only 2 I also have one for her. There is also one thats called myepets. Looking at both websites and taking the tours it seems like webkinz has more to do on their site and it looks more fun. So which one is better and should I get more then just the doll. I see they have charms, trading cards, and bookmarks. Where do you get all of this stuff from. I did see they have some stuff on ebay. Has anyone bought anything off of ebay and their code not work on the website?
