Forgetfully much.

Some people forget their wallets, while others continuously leave their glasses or housekeys on the dining room table. I once forgot to replace the fuel hose at a gas station before driving off (Autoblog PSA: the replacement cost of a breakaway hose is around $96.00). Let's face it: we all forget stuff sometimes. People have a lot of serious issues on their minds, after all. Stuff like the upcoming presidential election, Iran's pursuit of nuclear weapons, and how the writers' strike will affect the new season of 24 (and how the eff Tony is still alive) all weigh heavily on our minds. But you get the point: it's easy to get distracted these days. The perfect example of this occurred in Germany last Friday, when a man reportedly drove to a service station, filled up, paid for his purchase, and proceeded to walk home. Eventually, someone called the cops who tracked down the owner. He then hurried back to collect his ride that was sitting at the gas station where he left it. Hey, at least he didn't drive off like a jackass with the filler still attached.

LOL Too funny!! Ive never done that! Forget the gas cap, yes, leave the pump in the car, no. LOL Well just last week at the grocery store, I didnt really buy much so I only had a couple of bags to carry. While the woman was ringing up my things, I pushed the cart over to the other carts and then proceeded out the door! I got to the outside and realized my groceries were still inside and I hadnt paid for them. The woman ringing me up just burst out laughing, she said she was wondering what I was doing. I was going home!! :D Bay Lay Gray xx

I haven't been too forgetful on a daily basis. Once in a great while I will forget a word when describing something but think that's the result of a major fall I had 5 years ago ice skating. This has only been an issue since the fall. I refuse to believe age has anything to do with being a little forgetful..lol

I'm sorry that you fell. NOOooo it has nothing to do with old age.

A skull fracture at my age can be a little damaging. My kids and husband notice the lack of words once in awhile. I notice it so that's a good thing.....lol

I have the same problem too. I even forgot the things that i have forgotten to remember. Now, how is that? Could it be any worse than that? I don't think so.

Yes, I also sometimes tend to be forgetful... I forgot my celphone on the table at the office. When I went home, I was looking for it at my bag and told my son to ring it. I thought it was snatched or taken from my bag but the following morning when I report for work, i saw it on my table. Sometimes I forgot the keys on my bedroom, its a good thing I had some spare keys which I hide in some parts of the house, in case i forgot the keys inside the room. I guess with so many things that are running on our mind, we tend to be forgetful.

Your post reminds me of a story. A reputed doctor in my hometown drove off to the market, made his purchases and caught a taxi home. His wife wanted to know what happened to the car he had taken. It was only then that he remembered that he had taken his car. Then he caught another taxi, went to the place where he had parked his car and brought his car back home.

Wow.. now i can spill my stupidity. he he It often happens that i forget things. A very recurring incident is when i go to a certain part of my house to get/do something and my mind is somewhere else while walking, I will always forget my purpose when i reached my destination. Its quite funny because i used to retrace my steps so i will remember what i should be doing. To consider that I am only in my mid-20s... well, that shows that its not into the age. hehe he he

Very true, but I will admit that my many members of my family, my friends, and I, all do this as well. And again, it is just as you have stated, we all have a lot on our minds. We live in a very stressful world. I can barely remember what happened to me five minutes ago.

LOL The saddest thing though is when someone forgets about their child in their car - that has happened so much this year and I still can't believe that it does happen. Sorry for putting a damper on this topic.

I became forgetful after i had several operations..And its hard if you cant remember something ..tis like you cant say that word just because you dont remember that very single detail.

haha okay thats a little intense. I've lost my car... as in parked it at my friends house and then not been able to find it, but why would he walk home after just filling up. Anyways I forget a lot of things all the time. We have a gas stove and once I left the gas on all day. Very dangerous. One time I left a lasanga in the oven for 14 hours.

A very entertaining post! I lost my phone the other day due to my failing memory. After taking a smoke on the stairs of our building, I left my cellphone on the steps where i sat. I noticed that my phone was missing a couple of hours later and of course when i got back to the stairs, my phone was no where to be found. I hate myself for losing my phone that way... argh!
