Do you know someone who has lung cancer or beat lung cancer? How long did they have it for before they got treated?

My dad had that disease two years ago and lived only four months and two weeks. Although he always went to doctors, he always got a clean bill of health until one of the doctors, an internist, discovered what appeared to be a tumor on my dad's liver. That was the beginning of the end, as the cancer had spread to my dad's lungs. It was too late to do anything, except to keep him comfortable. Fortunately, my dad stayed at my sister's house instead of a hospital and may have even lived a little longer because of that.

My older sister has had lung cancer sincer 2006. she had a bad year then from the chemo she was taking, she was in and out of the hospital every month. it went into remission in 07 for one year but it came back in 08. she has been fighting it ever since, right now she's in the hospital very sick, don't know if she is going to make it through the holiday's or not. as soon as she found out she had lung cancer she started radiation first and then chemo. it's been a long hard fight for three year's, and her body is just giving up.
