RECOVERING LOST SAVINGS BONDS

My husband bought US savings bonds while serving in Viet Nam. They were sent to his mother for safe keeping. She lost them. Is there any way to recover these bonds?

I don't think that you need the actual peices of paper to get the bonds.. can't you contact where you bought them? They should have a record.
