Drinking brings us closer to people we care for - that is, if these people love to drink too. When we were being pushed to have our very first taste of wine, beer, gin, brandy, or whatever magical concoction was it that we were hesitantly sniffing during that "first time," we did not have any idea that we would soon plunge into a lifetime of glass-raising. And so we became full-time drinkers. No regrets, we could honestly say. Drinking has opened doors for us, introduced us to a lot of people, taught us many different things about human nature. In short, our limited horizons before that first shot slowly widened. From the old YOU came out the new person - more confident, more at ease when other people are around, not afraid of strangers, and definitely not afraid to try new things. Like one-night stands.
