AS for me i deliver my baby boy by C- section and no side effects that i'm feeling right now. My doctor takes good care of me when she's operating me. I didn't feel anything before and after the operation. You have to obey the doctor everything that she say. Don't let your wife do the household chore for at least 2 months especially lifting heavy objects. let your wife heal the wounds before she do the lightest household chore. Take good care of your wife my friend because when deliviring a baby all mothers gave their half life to deliver the baby. Congratulations to you!!

Congratulations!!! I have had two c-sections. Each was diffrent. The best advice is to take it easy the first few days and dont move around to much. Dont lift anything more than the baby. Dont walk up and down stairs for atleast a week. Basically sit and care for the baby. It took me a good couple months to get back into the swing of things. My belly was sore for a month or so. Once everything starts to grow back together she will feel better and be able to do more. Have her take it easy so she dosent rip out the stitches. Best of luck!

well my advice for you is to help your wife around the house as much as you can. she will not be able to life anything heavy for a good 6 weeks (this includes laundy!) she should not be going up and down stair for a week. Nor should she vacuum for about 4 weeks. side effects? well there are not a whole lot, she just needs to let her body heal while she is taking care of a baby... i have had 2 so i know what i am talking about!

Just as every pregnancy is different, so is every delivery. Some women experience no side effects of having a C-section while others do. I have had two C-sections. The first was an emergency and it was a terrible experience. I couldn't even move afterwards as it hurt so much. Plus, I seemed to have weird psychological effects (I felt like my daughter wasn't really my daughter from not seeing her born). My second C-section was a breeze, on the other hand. Was up and around a couple hours after surgery and no strange feelings...lol. I had been afraid prior to the surgery because of my reactions before but it was completely different. I guess my point with this rambling is that each woman will react differently and you should just watch and see. Support her physically and emotionally as she needs it just like with any other birth. Oh, and by the way...congratulations, Daddy!
