Well the wife & I went out to Mystic Lake Casino for the Sawyer Brown Concert. They dodn't allow cameras so I did not get any photos. But once the shopw started I saw flashed going off left & right. Ticked me off I left mine home now. Oh well. The new Audtitorium is just fantastic. It seats about 2,500. It was a full house as well. The show started about 15 minutes late though to allow stragglers to sit down. The sound was great compared to the last place the casino had concerts. This time one could actually understand what was being sung. They performed a 90 minute show. They got a 5 minute standing ovation as well. A great show. Then I used my players card to get complimentary Buffet meals as well. So we gambled a few hours, saw a great concert & had a huge meal at the buffet. We had a blast.

Thanks. I am still stuffed from the dinner bufett. I think
I had maybe 5 or 6 plates of food. HAHAHA! Thanks again.

Yeah I ate for two days it seems. I had a couple
eggs for lunch today has been it. Can't fit anymore in.

Glad to hear you 2 enjoyed yourselves last night. Whenever they say 'no cameras', you can bet some ppl will ignore it and bring them anyways. That's what I love so much bout my camera phone. lol I can still whip it out and take pics no matter. Did you win anything at the casino? I'm bettin' not or you would of said something already.

I was thinking of bringing it anyhow but then I knew I'd be checking my coat so it would show in my pocket. But then I never did check my coat. Grrr! The wife had a super time for a change. I was happy she got out finally for something other than shopping or doing something with the daughter and or grandsons. It was "us" time for a change. Thanks also.

I remember years ago going to a concert of the late Ricky Nelson I was given a ticket to go with my sister and her husband so I could take photos for her, we had front row seats, I took wonderful photos for her and he even came to the edge of the stage at the end and posed for me on the way out he saw the sign that said no photo allowed...too late she said...my sister who loved Ricky Nelson so much put the photo's in het wedding album, it was one of his last times he came to Australia before being killed in a plane accident, I think they should let people take photos at these places, heaven know you pay enough to get in...

I haven't seen Ricky Nelson since the early 70's. HAHAHA! He was out here at Mystic Lake Casino a few years back. Well a tribute band I think. Anyhow I regret not having taken my camera.

Too bad you couldn't take pictures, the way you love to snap photos, but the main thing is you had a blast, that's the most important thing. Good for you guys!!!

hi grandpa bob... looks like you are having a great time there... glad to hear that you are enjoying your weekends... i also hate it when people break the rule of taking photograph when it is clearly forbidden... the management should do something about it actually... anyway, glad you and your wife have a great time...

I like Sawyer Brown, I think he's a great singer... I'd love to go and see him in concert sometime that's for sure... I've seen a few good singers like Josh Turner and Rodney Atkins... They both put on a great show...

Hello grandpa bob.
have never been to casinos and a 2500 big auditorium. As far as I can rememeber I when I was in highschool, i studied in a catholic school and was one of the hundred os students who were asked to join the "NO TO CASINO" rallies. The casino is located i an elevated area and as far as I can rememeber i enjoyed the climbing and the chit chat with our placards saying " NO to CAsino". I have only seen casinos on movies and tvs.

The flashes you saw going off were from those people who know how to "smuggle" their cameras in!!! I can't believe YOU did not have yours with you...lol. I haven't been to a concert in quite awhile and Sawyer Brown must have been awesome....again...I envy you!
