One Chicken & Dumplings recipe coming up. Please give this one a try, it is very good and who knows... maybe dear old Dad might give you the thumbs up for a delicious meal. Chicken and Dumplings III Prep Time: 15 MinutesCook Time: 30 Minutes Ready In: 45 MinutesYields: 6 servings INGREDIENTS: 6 boneless chicken thighs2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of celery soup salt and pepper to taste1 (12 ounce) package refrigerated biscuit dough DIRECTIONS: 1. In a large pot over high heat, combine the chicken with enough water to cover, and boil for 15 to 20 minutes. Drain some of the water from the pot, reserving 3 cups in the pot. Remove chicken and allow it to cool, then pull it apart into bite size pieces; return to pot. 2. Reduce heat to medium, and add the cans of condensed soup. Season with salt and pepper. Pull the biscuit dough into pieces, and add to the soup. Simmer over medium heat for 7 to 8 minutes, or until the dough is cooked through.

Here is the best chicken and dumplings ever. 1 stewing hen covered with chicken or vegetable broth,(You can also just cover with water but I like the extra flavore, At this time I add sage a pinch of thyme and some rosemary. If you don't lie the sticks of rosemary you can put them in a small bag then remove the bag when the chicken id done.)cooked in the crock pot untill it falls off the bone. You can also cook it on the stove top simmering untile it falls off the bone. remove the bones and return to broth. Now for the dumplings. Bisquick Dumplings recipe 3/4 cup milk 2 cups Bisquick Mix milk and Bisquick thoroughly with fork. Drop by spoonsful onto chicken, meat or vegetables in boiling stew (not into liquid). Cook over low heat for 10 minutes with kettle uncovered and for 10 minutes with kettle covered. Liquid should just bubble gently while cooking. Makes 10 to 12. I like mine a little fluffier so I add an egg and a little bit more bisquick. Maybe a 4oth cup more of the bisquick. And I put mine in the liquid and simmer them. My family like plenty of broth to put over their mashed potatoes. Hpoe this is what your looking for.

Modular Mate For Storage - Master Mix Recipe Goes into One Bigger Than This
I am in total agreement with the poster who uses Bisquick! I have never found a recipe that I like better than that! (although I use a Master Mix that I create and store in the product that I sell that is the same as Bisquick but in a much larger quantity)~Donna

I don't have a recipe for chicken & dumplings. I love them, but have never made them homemade. I have always taken the cheap and easy way out and bought them in a can. Dollar General has them in a can, and I tell you what, they are wonderful. My kids, my husband and I all love them. I even offered some to my father when he stopped over once (I must tell you he is a very, very picky man and doesn't like to eat things from a can or box). He liked them and had no idea I bought got them from a can. Of course after I told him, which was after he ate them, he said, yeah I thought they tasted funny. lol
