christmas decorating

we started decorating for christmas on friday (nov 16). is anyone else decorating this early? when do you decorate? we usually wait til after thanksgiving, but since we have family coming for thanksgiving dinner on sunday, my mom wanted the house to be decorated. so far we have the tree done, the nativity, random christmas decorations and a few wreaths. we have a couple tiny christmas trees in pots next to our front door, but we have yet to do the rest of the outside lights/decorations.
