I am collecting T-shirts from my 7 year old GD, and want to now make them into a quilt. I've heard about the T-shirt quilt but have not seen a good one (a quicky and in my opinion, hap-hazzard one on a DIY show) but I have heard they can be really nice. Anyone done one? Gan you give me tips, supplies, best way to do it, and anything else you can recommend? I want to hear from those have have done one, not just look at a site with pictures. I can get the directions if i need them, but I'm a quilter from way back, just out of practice. thanks for any tips.

Thanks for the link. That is how I have heard it works. Do you have any experience sewing with T-shirt style fabric - stretchy? I know the iron on interfaction helps that but since this is a one shot, one kill kind of thing, I can't afford to make any mistakes. I can't replace a T-shirt block. I am not happy with the way of tieing to finish. I don't care much for that - almost looks like you just didn't finish the quilt so you just tied it together and then you have those strings hanging. I'd rather do the machine or hand. Any comments on that - even not T-shirt related?
