What would you do to make it up if you broke your promise?

Hello taskata. I will ask for apologize and try to make up the mistake(if it still could be changed). But, in another time don't repeat it again because people would trust you anymore. You know what, mistake like that is small problem because you still can give the present today to your child. But if you promise to marry someone then you broke it, its more worse right? I broke a promise to my daughter too. I told her if she does thus and so that I would buy her this special toy from toysrus. She did what I asked her to do and was so excited. Then when I told her that no I couldn't get it for her it broke my heart just as much as it broke her heart. Then when I did have the chance to take her there to get it they were out of stock for three months they were out of stock. I was searching on the internet and doing everything I can to get it but no one had it. Then I located two but they flaked on me. Toysrus had it on their website saying they had it when I checked out they didn't have it. It was a discontinue model. I asked her if she was willing to take a different one of the same kind she said yes. Right after she told me which one, I drove there with her guess what out of stock. Then I drove her 2 hours to another store that I called and asked them to put it on hold for me. When we got it home we put it together there was a missing piece. I had to take it apart put it back into the box drove all the way back to the shop 2 hours away to exchange for antoher one. But she will never forget what I went through (nor I)just to say sorry for a broken promise I made before.
