I have been an office secreatry for the past 6 years, but due to some personal reason, I need to leave my current job very soon. But, I still want to earn some money at the same time. Will it be possible for me get any home-stay data entry job? Can anyone help me out? I have seen many home-stay data entry jobs from the internet, but they usually ask for upfront fee, which I really don't believe. I am scared to make a risk!! Any idea by anyone?

Welcome to MyLot teteimathews! If you're looking for a data entry job that you can do from home, you don't want to be looking for websites to do it at. What you're looking for is a telecommuting job. To find a telecommuting job for data entry, go to job search sites, such as Hot Jobs or Craigslist, and search for the type of job you want using the keyword "telecommute" or "telecommuting". It's just like any other normal job, so you still have to fill out an application, have an interview, give a resume, etc. The only difference is that the job will be from home rather than at the company.
If you're looking for other ways to earn money from home, my profile has a link to a site that's completely free (free to join, free tools, etc.) and welcomes international members. I hope this helps!

Hi talisman!! Firstly, thank you so much for your reply. I wanted to go to your profile in order to look for the sites, but I didn't know how to go as I am still very new to this 'mylot'. I still have so much to learn. Can you help me how to go to you profile so that I can check out the site for home-stay job? Sorry to trouble you.

Hi Talisman
Thank you so much for your further response. I went into the link and I saw the site, but, I don't understand anything about this site. It's so complicated and hard to understand. It looks like something to do with purchasing stuff from this site. Is it that only by purchasing from the site, we get points? If you don't mind, can you explain to me a bit? I too will study it again.

No, the site is nothing like that. I've added you as a friend so I can explain further and to see if you have any other questions. Just go to the "friends" tab at the top of the page and accept my request and then we'll be able to send messages back and forth.

Hello Tetei,
I'm happy to say there are plenty of legitimate home-based data entry jobs out there that definitely do NOT require any upfront fees or investments. The tricky part is knowing how and where to find them. More and more reputable companies are offering telecommute data entry and VA (virtual assistant) jobs. I've been checking out a site for quite some time now, and am impressed with what I've found.
If interested, send me a message and I'll be more than happy to share.
God bless,
Sparquel

HI sparquel (how to address u?),
I am so happy to receive your comment. I always thought that there were only selfish people in this world. So far, none of my good friends who are doing some home-stay data entry jobs did not want to share me anything. They are so selfish. I am thankful to this "mylot" for showing me people who are not selfish. If you could share me that would be good. Thanks and cheers
