Does a Surrogate Mother have feelings for the child she bears for someone else?

It would be crazy for a woman not to have feelings for something that grew 9 months in here body. However most cases or surrogate mothers will still be involved in the childrens life, for they knew, if not family to the childs biological parents. I believe that the surrogate mother goes into the situation knowing the child will not be their own at the end. So fairness wouldn't be an issue in my eyes.

My cousin is a surrogate mother and I can tell you, yes they do grow attached to the baby, and yes it is hard when they are taken away after birth. A surrogate mother spends nine months caring and protecting the baby that is growing inside of her, how can she not become attached?

This is a four month old discusiion, I know but I had to answer. I think it would be incredibly difficult to give up the child even though you understood what you were getting in to. Most women bond with the baby during the pregnancy. I know I did with my children. I am amazed by women who can give a gift like this. I just couldn't be one of them.

I cannot speak from he surrogate mothers mouth. But I can see, that a mother, no matter how bad, or whatelse, the feelings will not be taken out. In a way she will be thinking of the baby, even if she did it for money or for whatever.
