do you have good ideas for the above?
my idea today was to have a drawer to store dirty dishes in(until you are ready to wash them) so that your counter tops are clean and clear in the meantime.have you any cheap ways of making the home a more beautiful place?

Second hand furniture that you paint and personalise is good. We are doing that here. For couches that are second hand, throw rugs and fancy cushions would work. There are good ready to assemble furniture packs you can buy that are reasonably priced. These are also reasonably nice too.

There are also special stickers that you can put on top of the paint too! Really makes the furniture special! lol.

At some hardware stores, you can buy "oops" paint. That is paint that someone had mixed but ended up not liking the color and not buying it. It usually coast about $5 for a gallon instead of the normal $20-$30. We painted several rooms in our house this way and saved a lot of money. The down side is that you have to check often and have an open mind to find a color that works for your room.
