I have realy problem sleeping. I love sleep but I have a really hard time both falling asleep and staying asleep. When I do manage to go to sleep and stay asleep then I willhave stressful horrible nightmares. I want to get something to help me fall alseep faster and easier and get better more restful sleep. I am going to see a doctor today to ask for a sleep aid, but if they will not perscribe me one I will have to buy something that's available over the counter. Can anyone recocmmend to me the best pill to use to help me to sleep? I have tried the regular sleeping pills, like Sleep-Ez-D and stuff but I haven't found that they help very much. I want something that will just make me get really tired and fall asleep.

Theres something over the counter called simply sleep. I have used it and it really helped me. I had the same problem you did. It wasnt an every night thing, but it was a lot. Good luck with the doctor though. I hope you find something that works for you.

I went to the doctor and got a perscriptoon for Apo-Trazodon and he told me to make an appointment with a therapist or my family doctor to get more. I think I am going to see a therpist to see if they can figure out what is causeing me to have so much trouble sleeping right.

This might sound a little extreme to some, but try smoking some pot. I'd rather put something herbal into my body that has never killed anyone or given them permanent side effects like most of the sleep aid products which effect the liver and kidneys. If thats too extreme, try to exercise and that will help make you feel better, breath better, and sleep better. I recommend both ways and know from experience they both work and you won't have to become a slave to sleep aid products which contain things you and I can't even pronounce, and alone there all synthetic. (man-made)

Oh man. Your answer makes me want to cry, because that is what I do now, but we are haveing money issues what with havening just bought a house and my husband says we have to cut back on buying pot. We have a health plan that makes perscriptions only $2 each so that is what I am goin to the octor for pills. I am trying to save money and still be able to sleep. I am not happy about it at all. I have a bad stomach and pills usually make me sick, but we don't have the cash and I don't want to be awake until we do. Chemicals scare me too but insomnia bother me more.
