Do You Buy Things at Full Price or Do You Wait for Sales???

I hate buying things at full price. I really don't like it. It's probably just that I'm cheap but I really don't think that anyhting is relly worth the full price that stores put on it, if it was how could they afford to have sales? So I always try to wait. Ocasionally i will buy something that i really want or need at full price, but I always end up regretting it when I see that same thing go on sale like a week later. Sometimes waiting is not a good idea though because I have missed out on some items that I wanted waiting for them to go on sale and then they just go out of stock instead. That happened to me with a table I wanted from Wicker Emporium. So what do you do when you see something in a store that you want? Do you buy it right then? Do you give it a week to see if it will go on sale? Or do you wait it out and watch the flyers until the item finalyl does go on sale before you will purchase it? Have you ever missed out on something becuase you waited too long?

I try not to buy anything that sin;t on sale. I look for the clothes that I need at Good will or re sale shops before I even check out the clearance racks. I tell my hubbt I'm not cheap just frugal.

My favorite after Christmas deals are gift packs, because they are a bargain price to being with, once they go on 50% off it's one of the best deals you can get on cosmetics and bath stuff.

I'm a bit of a cheapskate, and so I always keep my eyes peeled for sales on certain items. Although if I think the item is worth it or if it's a special occasion, then I buy it for its full price.

Yeah there are always times, usually gift giving occasions, when there is no other choice but to pay full price.

I buy things at full price if the item needed. If it is not, I more or less buy them at its lowest price.

It depends on the item, and how much of a potential sale it has. Usually i have to end up buying things at full price, because i usually need the item immediately. It's a shame though, cause i hate when i come to the store next week and see the item is half the price i orignally paid for it. lol. oh well...

See that is what ALWAYS happens to me if I buy soemthing full price. When I see a good sale I try to stock up so I won't need anymore of that item before there is another sale.

i think i am the same like you... i don't like to buy things full price and i always wait until they have a sale... i always think why i have to pay full price when i can get it at a discounted price... i call it smart shopping... and you are right... even with the sale price, i believe the store is still making money... otherwise, they won't sell it... who want to do a losing business, right??? :-)

It depends on how expensive the item is. If I can afford, I will not wait for the sale. I'll buy it as long as the item is good. But if it's very expensive, then I'll wait for the sale. I think it's worth waiting because of the price. Sometimes it's not a smart thing to buy an item in full price, right? So we really have to think it over before spending our money on it.

I find it is usually best to wait if you can because most things will go on sale eventually.

If i really needed something then I buy it right away or if I really like something and it's unique and can't find somewhere else. But if it's not a necessity then I might as well wait for the sale. I also do look for alternatives for the things that I wanted to buy that might be a little expensive =)

Oh my, I am such a bargain shopper. I rarely ever buy anything at full price. I agree with you, there are so many items that are priced for way more than they should be, that how stores can afford to have sales. I find so many great deals, not only at the stores, but also at garage sales & thrift shops. I love when I find clothing that is new for only a couple of dollars, that is the best and makes me happy. lol My family laughs at me because of my bargain shopping. My husband was just telling one of my girlfriends this, " if it is on clearance she will buy it, she came home with a bag of baby clothes, when she isn't even pregnant", lol I told him ...well someone will use it. I mean come on 2 dollars for cute baby outfits that are brand new..lol Oh and my sister is pregnant now, with a girl (I bought girl clothes). I have a sister in law who always laughs at me and says I am just like my mom, because my mom is always showing us something that she bought at such a great price and always says, check out this good deal I got. I love bargain shopping. It makes me so happy to save so much money. I once bought over $300.00 worth of clothes at Pamida for only $60.00!! See that is exciting..lol Have a great Thanksgiving!

I buy most of my clothes at second hand stores as well. I have a Juicy Cotoure velor hoodie that i got at Frenchy's for like $4 that would have cost $94 if I ordered it online and it was just like new, I'm not sure it was ever worn.

It depends how much I need it. I usually buy things I need when I need it rather than waiting for an appropriate sale. When sales are on I usually buy things I want rather than need. I'd like to always buy on sale since it's cheaper, but sometimes it's just not always likely to happen that way.

I try to buy things ahead of time, and stock up, when there are sales and then I have them when I need them and I don't have to pay full price or worry about running out before the next sale.

Well considering I live in a small apartment with only so much storage space, it's pretty hard to stock up. I only have room for a few rolls of toilet paper and a few rolls of paper towels you know. You can't really stock up everything if you don't have the room.

With our income, we have to wait for sale prices, especially on furniture and big items like that. The only thing we don't wait for a sale on is certain food like milk and eggs, but for ice cream which isn't a need, even then we wait for a sale..

We try to buy even our groceries at discount if we can. The gas station in the town where my husband works sells 4L milk for a dollar less than the grocery store so we try to buy that there. We get our meat an produce at a local market that sells products from local farms cheaper than the meats and stuff at the grocery store and then we go to Sobeys for all the packaged items, like pasta and cereal, because they are cheapest there and we also buy alot there when they have the buy on get on free sale.

I like waiting for sales, of cause.I think things are too expensive now and bisnissmen get a lot from us that you can see when things are discounted. However, when I meet things I really like very much,I think I will not wait and be pleased to be cheated.

If I really like the things and at that time I can afford it, I will buy it. Because I can not sure whether it is sold off or not later.

I live by the rule "Never Pay Full Price for Anything!" If I find something that I really want and it isn't on sale, I will risk not getting it...everything goes on sale at some point. If I end up not getting the item at all, I probably really didn't need it anyway.

That is exactly how I feel. It is very rare that you find something that is realyl worth the full regular price that a store is chargeing for it. Unless it's at the Dollar Store but that's like buying everything at ultra-clearance anyhow.

I hate paying full price for things too. I like to see if I can wait and get it at a sale price but somethimes you just know that if you don't get it ti will be gone and you'll be sorry. I try and get the best deal possible but sometimes you have to pay more for things that you really want.

You should really go back to the store an complain. Maybe they'll refund you the difference. Or you could always just return the coat and then send someone else to go pick it up for you again on sale.

I am the kind of person that don't like to buy things at full price either. I usually like to wait and see if the price would drop. But my husband loves buying everything at full price. He said that it's better to get it now rather than wait till later and there all gone.I am the budget maker in my family.

My husband can be like that too. Every time a new game console comes out he goes on and on about how much he wants it, and I hate it, becuse those things drop drastically in price if you just wait for the next new one to come out before you buy it. Plus when thos ethings are really new they often still have bugs and issues that need to be resolved before they really work right.
