You get points for both. I know if no one responds to yours you don't get any more rating until someone does. I think it is good for both. If you don't start a discussion and everyone just responds to them, then I think that we will run out of discussions. I think that you can start a couple discussions and then join in discussions that are already started.

I guess that's true since nobody really seems to know how the earnings are determined.

I think it's most lucrative to start a post that many people reply to, but it's hard to know what will spark an interest in folks, and we all know how annoying it is to see someone throw up a bunch of meaningless discussions to hopefully elicit response. It is also good to make meaningful response to other people's discussions, particularly if you can get selected as best response. I don't really know the answers to this, by the way, it is strictly my opinion.

If you get a lot of responses, it's better to start them. Unfortunately it's rare to start those types of discussions. I think responding is the best way to go. It's important to give good, meaningful, well thoughtout answers however. That's the key.

When you start a discussion, you will know, what sort of topic, people around are interested to discuss. When you respond to others discussions, you will learn a lot of things. I feel both are important to learn more.

I really dont have any idea. I have startes 3 discussions and only 1 of them have got good response. Maybe I will start another discussion next week. Anyone can give me an idea about what kind of topic people would like.

If you have very good discussions then I think that is better. But if no one reacts then it is better if you also participate in others.

You have to do both. Imagine if all were just starting discussions, then we would get no answers..

I actually prefer answering other people's questions, than trying to come up with my own.
