i have recently taken my asthmatic 6 year old off of this medication. I noticed a huge difference in his behavior - moody, uncontrollable crying, hateful, violent, disrespectful, wetting the bed, spaciness, among others and was wondering where my normally well behaved loving child went. While talking to a friend of mine I had a light bulb go off - maybe I should further research the meds he was on for his asthma. I had read the insert that the pharmasist had given me and asked the doctor questions but had not thought to delve even farther. As soon as I started googling this med I realized that I had found the possible root of my sons problems! I called his doctor and they claimed that it is a somewhat common reaction in children who are not exactally allergic to the meds but just have an intollerable reaction. We have since taken my son off of this medication and 2 weeks later I am happy to report that I have my son back! Has anyone else had these same issues?
