My left hand was itchy today. I always thought that it meant I should scratch it and I would be receiving money. My sister in law believes that in order to receive the money it is warning me about I should put it in my pocket and scratch it :-) Please send me some more variations if you have any . . .

I wonder where you come from a1intnet, I come from Uganda and that is one superstition that works very correctly for me. Even if I have completely no idea where the money will come from,as soon as my palm itches, and this is in disregard to whether or not it is left hand, I am surely going to hold money. Someone will ring inviting me to pick money or the person will just emerge from no where and hand over the money in totally unexpected manner. Yes I am very supestitious when it comes to itching palms and I know it works.

Hi academic2 I'm originally from South African but now I live in Mauritius. Lucky you that it always works - regardless of which palm itches. I will definately remember your words next time :-)

I never walk under a ladder or raise an umbrella indoors. Partly because of superstition, but probably more because of common sense!

Hmmmm - very wise. My son has a bit of a thing for umbrellas and opens them inside all the time. Perhaps this is why I am unlucky ;-)
