Which makes more cents on mylot?

Hi surverymom. According to my experience, the word QUALITY discussion that plays an important role in earning for these two (2) types of participation, either for post discussion or post response. The elements of QUALITY discussion are not on "DON'Ts" in discussion guideline, TOS(Term of Use) and more on "DO's". For starting a new discussion, it is very clear stated on "Do's" list in discussion guideline, especially for this item; Item 5;- - Make sure you search for existing topics before starting new discussions. (Source link: http://www.mylot.com/o/guidelines.aspx) That is why many members complain on less earning for their posted new discussion, but they forgot that Item 5 in mylot discussion guideline. In my opinion, if we are less or nil for NEW subject of discussion better participate as responder to any members' discussion and must be very elaborative and descriptive in making response. I am fairly new to mylot also and would be interested to see the replies to your discussion. I wish mylot can be more transparent with the earnings calculation. Not that I am hoping to earn lots from the postings but I think it would be great to know what to expect the next time I check on earnings.

Keep passion, see the earning after one week, not every time. Participate discussion, see photo & rated, coments & write blogs, afterall edict with Mylot and you can achive your goal.

When i was new on mylot i was earning good money on mylot.I was not using mylot for some months due to some reason.Now i think it is getting difficult to earn money on mylot.

i think its the combination of both discussions and replies that earn you more here in mylot.

I noticed that my discussions are not earning as much as my replies but I put them up anyway so that I can earn more money

i really think the pictures gives a big shot. if you put one in your discussion... nd also how you answer and post responses. another thing is how well or yeah should i say the quality of your post and responses really makes a big deal.

I was of the opinion we got paid per post whether it was a discussion we started or one we responded to but someone said we also get paid so much for every response to our discussions after the tenth and others have said you get more for longer posts. In the guidelines it says earnings are based on quality posts but I’m not sure how they judge quality! So I guess anybody’s guess is as good as anybody else’s! Annie

I haven't been on myLot that long, but I think I've earned more by responding to discussions as opposed to starting my own. There have been days when I only replied to discussions and didn't start any, but I've noticed that the earnings were higher. I don't know if this is the case for other users, but this was what happened in my case.

i think, based on my experience here, posting discussions will not make you earn. having responses in your posted discussion will make you earn. so the earning power of your posted discussion depends on the number of responses that it generates. more responses it has, the more points or earnings you will get. if you want to have more control of your points or earnings, responding to discussions will be the most practical and easiest way. if your response is meaningful, then you will get a point for it. by meaningful, i mean it makes sense to the discussion. however, the determination of that remains vague to me. what i do is respond to those discussions that i have something to say or contribute. i hope this helps. by the way, this response of mine to your discussion will only earn me one point, but it's ok with me. i want to share and help others because otehrs helped me too here when i was new here.

You know what, I can't figure it out either because I sat here and did more replies to discussions then posting and all I got was alittle earning too. My husband looked at me like are you kidding me? You're doing this for that amount only!But I did just started with mylot 3 days ago so I'll let you know how I am doing later.

anyway, if you start more discusstion or replied more discussion with good quality then can get more payment^^ i learned from internet but i am also trying to do it now, i started yesterday afternoon but my earning is still $0.00 i don't know why? some one said 24 hours late can get first payment, since its my first time to join it, just learn and do and waiting...have a good day!!
