Some people say that To be a teacher is very rewarding! They have a long summer holiday. Others say,Teachers' Job is boring and not challenging! I say that I hope any occupation is my job but not a teacher, the role of which is too painful! However I wish a good teacher to be my child! What do you think?

Teaching is really a good job. It creates the real and useful people for a society. It is more respectful job than much many others. But teachers in my country are not so wealthy. They are poor and feel complex here. So I would not like to make my child a teacher.

No I want my son to become a arkatech. You know build houses. that would help him financally in this world, and maybe on the side he'll build his mom a nice house. Teachers jobs are not practically and don't pay good. teachers should be only in your home to teaching others volunteerly around the community.

Yes I have a child and I want my child to be a teacher. Teacher’s job is very sacred. It is profession of the messengers. Job of the prophets. Teachers show the strait path to their pupil. A teacher is a leader in real meanings as a teacher led his or her students. Teacher’s job could never be called for those, who want to be a leader in his or her life. Students give respect to their teachers. And teachers deserve for that respect.

To be a good teacher depends on many factors, patience, knowledge, honesty, ect. i just would like to say, if you want to be a teacher, you would best to be a good teacher.Teachers always deal with the future of a nation, a contry. Addimittedly, teacher is a rewarding and respectable job in china and korea, as far as i know. but to be a teacher don't depend on what you can get from that position, but what you can contribute to that. that is what i think .

i used to think that way, any job but being a teacher... and i still end up being a teacher anyway... well, yes its very rewarding because of that multiplicity effect of what teach. Imagine handling 40 students in a class :-) what's more rewarding is that, being a teacher, you get to touch lives and you get your soul touched too in the process... there are times its rewarding and there are times its frustrating, but take it as a whole package, its very dynamic and rewarding, good for the heart... i once encounter a quote about teaching, it goes this way : " if you want to touch eternity, be a teacher, because one never know when his/her influence ends :-)

If my child wants so to be teacher I will make him follow his heart-it does not make sense to force a child into a career he doesnt want. Parents are usually guilty of this.

I would have considered teaching myself, but there were so many things that kept me from looking into it. Teachers do not make enough in my state for what they have to deal with. To go through the training usually, you either have to sub for the alternative certification or student teach not making any money from 8-5 Mon - Fri which is not realistic for me anyway. I have bills to pay and student loans to pay back.

In today's soceity I would not want my child to be a teacher... There are too many cases of teachers being accused of misconduct toward children and that could ruin someone's life.... When I was a child the teachers could hug you without fear of getting accused of something inappropriate, now everyone is getting accused of trying to corrupt our younger generation....

If any of my kids want to become a teacher, I will support them in their decision. I trained to be a teacher myself but I had to take a fifth year of university to comply with all the units required to teach elementary school. You can teach in high school with a BA, but you need extra subjects to teach elementary school kids. I was too impatient and wanted to graduate in four years, so I didn't take the extra credits. I still taught though, and it was quite an experience. The best experience was team teaching with my ex in grad school. That was fun.

Well,if my child would prefer to be a teacher, then i would be there to support her. I believe taht as a parent my primary role is to guide my kids so that they would be a better person when they grow up. I dont see anything wrong being a teacher so I guess if they would like to be a teacher someday then i will be very glad to support them.

in my view ,if she is a girl ,she is very tender and love this job and donates all her time for the children . I will admire and encourage her to do this job . Because in china , good education needs good educator . And the society needs greatly the talents . But if he is a boy , i suggest he sould have a more lager ambiton . He can learn the more advanced technology and take more challenging job .When someday , he wants to transfer all he has got from his experience .Then he can teach more and can be a very outwarding teacher .

I think that a teachers job would be very rewarding. It would be wonderful to teach children new things, unfortunately I don not have the patience for it. I suppose some parts of the job, like any job would be boring at times. My 6 year old son wants to be a teacher when he is older. If he really wants to be that when he is older then I will support him with that, if not that is fine too.

I want my kids to be whatever they want to be. I don't pressure them either way about what I want them to be. What I want them to be is happy, and that means pursuing whatever they want to with their lives. My oldest doesn't know what he wants to be, and my youngest wants to be a vet. My middle one does want to be a teacher.

Teaching is a challenging job! You don't just teach your students to be academically - oriented, you teach them values too! You become their mentor as well. And it is really a rewarding job! You may bot see and know it, but in some little ways, as a teacher, you can touch the lives of your students. What a nice feeling if one day, when you're going around and you student happens to see and meet you and tell you that because of you, they have become what they are now. Remember, if there are no teachers, who will teach the future engineers, future teachers, etc. And with regards to being boring, any job can be boring if you don't love your job! So, let your child choose want she wants!

if thats what he or she wants to be why not? i will not decide for him, besides he has his own life to manage. by that time she/he is responsible enough to choose what right for him/her.

When I was little, I used to play teacher.. And when I grew up. I didn't want to become a teacher. But now I am about to become a teacher very soon and I can say that to become a teacher is very rewarding and a tedious, laborious job. It teaches you to become more aware of the value of life and of people. I think it's nice for anyone to become a teacher..
