This had to be the best Thanksgiving we've had in years and I think it's because my granddaughter was here to share it with us. Usually it's just my son and his fiance and myself but because my daughter had to work all day I have Vicky until Saturday. We did more laughing and I did more picture taking than I usually do (check out my photos because I'll be putting them there). My store bought meal was delicious and I have to admit I couldn't have done better myself. My son did the dishes as he always does and was so happy when he saw no pots and pans! I took care of the turkey pan after they left when I cleaned up the turkey and put away the leftovers that I kept for myself. I also sent them home with a lot of left overs. After dinner we played Monopoloy on the game station that is on my direct tv that I love and my son beat us bad! We made the obligatory phone calls to family wishing them a Happy Thanksgiving and by 7:00 it was time for them to go since my son and myself have to work today and had to get up early. How did your Thanksgiving Day go? Did you enjoy it but are happy that it's over? These holidays come and go so fast it amazes me!!!

Unfortunately I did not get ill as I had hoped to do so and use that to get out of thanksgiving festivities. So I got to spend it at my brothers and his wife with my grandparents and parents and nephews. a place where I not only feel super unwelcomed but where they don't even speak to me. So yeah, fun! I had turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce and a roll and I was done eating in about 5 minutes. Had a piece of pumpkin pie with not enough seasoning that just wasn't really that good.

Unfortunately the way I see it is that I would rather have stayed home with my cat.

I was hoping that we would do the whole turkey dinner thing but my husband didn't want me to. They both wanted hotdogs for lunch LOL so that's what we had for lunch as well as our usual breakfast meal. We spent the afternoon at the hospital, picking up my husband's work colleague who was getting out of hospital today after having surgery on Monday and took her home and settled her in. She did alot for my husband when he arrived in the USA and allowed him to stay at her apartment while she was away travelling for work for 8 weeks. Then he was able to find our own place and moved in there before she returned. We then went to pick up her friend from the airport and dropped her off at her apartment. I was happy that she had someone staying with her while she recovers. We then drove to the park which is just up the road and played some basketball. The weather started turning sour, strong winds and light rain so we came home. We spent the evening playing playstation games with our son and then next thing we knew, it was time to head to bed.

lol...hot dogs! whatever floats their boat I guess. It was a nice thing that you guys did for your husbands colleague though and even better spending time playing games with your son.

Sounds like you had a nice relaxing Thanksgiving without any hassles or frazzles...LOL. Mine was good, and quiet. I was cooking up a storm all day, and even though it was just for me and my kitties you'd think I was cooking for an army, but I love to cook. After dinner I just chilled out here at MyLot for a bit, but have to admit was tired. Oh yes, these holidays do whiz by. Now we all have to focus on Christmas, right? :)

I had a nice Thansgiving except for me fighting a cold and burning the tips of my fingers, (not real bad they are just a little senstive) it was great the turkey was delicous my kids ate like they should and our local Pamida was open so my mom and aunt and I went there and they even bought some Christmas presents. It was nice to hear your Thanksgiving was a happy one I wish you many more like that one.

My Thanksgiving was great! My aunt, who I only get to see every few years cuz she lives so far away, was able to stop by, and her family. Also, grandparents, cousins, other aunts, uncles, and parents/brother of course. I actually get along with my family, and everything was fabulous... especially the food! :)

I am so glad you had such a nice thanksgiving day.We also had a very good day.We went to my nieces house in the country, and we had tons of food, we laughed, we talked, we eat way to much. They built a big fire outside and we all sit around the fire, we sang and really had a good time.I did not take a lot of pictures, but the others did enough picture taking to last a lifetime...We came home tired and ready to get some sleep. All in all it was a very good day.
