I got a dvd with the old series of Dragnet on it. it was interesting to see how different cop shows were then say compared to law & order (i actually listen to dragnet on the radio as well - as a local station plays old radio shows) i also would love to see Emergency again...there is a station called TV land that plays a lot of great old shows. How about the A-Team? what shows do you miss and wish were on tv?

I used to love the show I think it was called Rescue 911 it was of calls made to 911 and showed what happened. I also loved the tv series Rags To Riches it didn't last long and was never made available on dvd although you can buy the movie. I liked the A-Team and Knight Rider too!

Rescue 911 was a great show. I don't know how many lives that show saved.

I love Lucy. That's probably the oldest show I currently still watch. A co-worker and I were talking about this though, old tv shows that we love. Mork and Mindy, Facts of Life, Growing Pains, Brady Bunch, Happy days, laverne and shirley. Etc. etc. I love tv... way too much ha ha.

Yes, I sure do. Here is a list of some that I wish were still on TV nowadays: The Facts of Life Cosby Show Diff'rent Strokes Happy Days Little House on the Prairie. I never actually watched them when I was little. My husband got me into them just a few years ago when they started airing the reruns. Unfortunately they stopped airing them a few months ago. I sure miss seeing it on TV! Brady Bunch Chips Coach Full House Growing Pains All In The Family The Jeffersons Three's Company Okay, so some of these shows aren't THAT old, but I still miss watching them. :P

It depends on how far back you want to go...lol! I wish they had the old kids shows like Howdy Doody and Ding Dong School on for today's kids. Beats the junk they have for them now don't you think? One of the old tv shows I haven't seen on tv land or anywhere else is Dobie Gillis. I used to love that program and all of the actors in it.

When I was a kid, I used to really like watching the Munsters and Giligan's island on Nick at Nite.

I have to say most of them are kids shows! lol. Let's see, Smurfs, Snorks, Rainbow Bright, My Little Pony and Friends, Glow Bugs. If you want something more mature then i would have to go with Get Smart.

Your Lucky Strike Hit Parade for sure! That show defined Saturday night for me when I was a little kid. My folks, grandpa, and I would all congregate in the living room to watch this one, and my mom and I would "dance" together (that is, she would take me in her arms and bounce me around the room while the music played). There are a lot of old shows I'd like to see old clips of again--and reminisce. Shows like where Ed Sullivan announced in a very dignified voice: "Ladies & Gentlemen...The Beatles!!!" and, then, all of America (or, at least, the young people) went totally-wild!!! Or see Tiny Tim and Miss Vicki get married on Johnny Carson. It would be great to see episodes of Shindig, Hullaballoo, American Bandstand, and Where The Action Is. Ditto to HeeHaw, Laugh-In, & Sonny & Cher. Of course, I would love to see old episodes of Return To Peyton Place again and drool over Dino who played Gino. I also loved those old Dragnet episodes. The one that especially touched me was the one where Baby Jesus seemed to have gotten stolen from a Nativity Scene--but it turned out to simply being a little boy taking Him around the block in his little, red wagon because He made his sick sister well.

I liked the old Dragnet and I also liked the old Gunsmoke, not the colored one, but the one with Chester who had a lame leg. We get some of the 1970 shows here like Petticoat Junction, and Green Acres, but well I got married in the 70s and they did not seem so old to me, but the old Black and White Tv shows, like Peter Gunn, and Perry Mason that is still on, plus I love Lucy (the one where she was demonstrating this elixir that was 90 degrees proof, the one where she worked in a candy factory and the one where Ethel was supposed to be the hometown girl made good, and Lucy and Desi and Fred upstaged her==== the man eating tiger was really funny! I have not seen the old Black and White Dragnet since I was a kid. I wonder if it is available on DVD.

My mom still teases me today about when I was 3 and I would hang out with her until it was time to get my sister from school. If we didn't go right back home she said I'd throw a fit because I wanted to watch 'Mergency (that is how I said it as a 3 year old). LOL, she said I'd explain to her why I had to get back, and go into the plots. But I'd like to see Scarecrow and Mrs. King back. It was a good one. I also like Dragnet too.

I was a big fan of several science fiction and fantasy action shows... now they have marathons on Sci-Fi channel for a few of my favorites. They show several hours of one show, and every day is different. When my craft shows are over, I switch it right to Sci-Fi channel!
