Dear devenpintu, I am a computer technician. Well since only the soundcard is faulty, disable the sund card jumper on the motherboard and plug in a sound card instead. It cheaper and simple.

Yes-man nowadays everything turns on replacement. If there is any problem with the motherboard or any other electronic device then you have to give it to the showroom. And let me tell you they are not the people who were repairing toasters. Take simply replace the part which is giving problem with a new one. The biggest problem with such and thing is enough to pay a lot when you're piece is getting defected. And then there is no warranty on that new stuff. So if there is a problem game and if the can spend a lot of money to get it fixed. I have seen it happen that even branded products and the normal local products so this is a very strange thing happening and is a matter of concern nowadays I don't find confidence in buying even bad branded products will stop

if its the chips that are burned then its very hard to repair as you will be looking for the same motherboard and get that chip and I dont think that chip is available on electronic shops

Like the others said, it's just not cost effective. The amount of time and labor it takes to troubleshoot, remove the damaged part, solder on a new part, retest the machine, etc. is just not worth it.

Because its not worth the ROI on repairing it... Its cheaper to just mass produce mainboards, and also for you to just buy a new one
