My daughter turned 10 months old today. Last week I decided that if she follows me into the bathroom I am going to put her on the potty chair. Well, the first time I put her on there she went pee right away. Since then I have put her on the potty about 15 times and she has gone pee 11 out of those 15 times. She goes within a minute of getting put on the potty too. Yesterday she was walking back and forth in front of the bathroom, so I asked her if she needed to go and opened the bathroom door. She went in and walked over to her potty. I put her on and she went right away. I am super proud right now, but I know that it may just be a phase and she will probably decide to stop using it. I am going to keep doing it though until she decides to take a break. She is only 10 months old after all.

The earlier the better. I would put my older son on the seat when he was 6 months and by 1.5 he was totally potty trained. He would even get up in the middle of the night, go to the toilet..pee and go back to bed. Keep that up and your daughter will make u proud. I'm not that lucky with my 1 year old second son though.

Wow! Congratulations on that lilybug! I have a 4 months old daughter and because of your post, I'm hoping that my daughter could do the same thing as yours! Anyways, just keep praising her until she gets used to it to the point that you don't need to praise her after she does her pee pee. You can also give her a kiss or a hug every time she goes to her potty. Anyways, I'm happy for you! :)

AWWW too cute. You definately have a great outlook on it all too. Most parents think that once they start they shouldn't stop. I had that problem nd now my son, now 5 yrs, still isn't potty trained fully. He goes on the toilet during the day but bed time and nummbers 2's are still a challenge and I am sure it's because I pushed him too hard. I have a friend that waited til her daughter told her that she wanted to use the potty and since that day she has had one accident. needless to say I am waiting til my daughter tells me or shows me in some way LOL shes only 14 months.

Yes, that is quite early. Smart little girl you have there. She's well on her way, I don't think it's a phase. Just continue to do what you're doing. Oh, those were the days. Enjoy them my friend. Mine's 19 and, thank the Lord, she has her own bathroom. Anyway, well done, Lilybug.

Keep encouraging and praise the he!! out of her. Let her know it's a very good thing she's doing. Just dont' be took expectant when it comes to pooping. That tends to take longer. My son finally got to where he pees like a normal person, but he still has issues with pooping. He squats on the toilet seat and "catches" it. Then he drops it into the toilet. I make sure he washes his hands afterwards, of course.

congrats on that, that is a wondeful thing.as long as you stick to it and don't allow her to stop then it will continue.my one son started early like that then all of a sudden he stopped and got lazy about going and now he is afraid sometimes to go.

WoW! That is amazingly early! I sure hope she carries on (well she is female and we do love the bathroom lol). Yuo realise how much you will save if she uses the potty from now on? Fingers crossed that it's not just a phase as you suggest and well done!

That's great! I think you have the right attitude- enjoy it while it lasts, because it probably won't be for long. But then, you never know. Children surprise us all the time. Good luck.
