Wow no one is one tonight. I guess they are still shopping. Its so quite here. Or maybe they are eating all their leftovers from Thanksgiving. I just had some turkey and stuffing. And it was still so good. I should have taken some more gravy thou. I made pototoe patties from the mashed potatoes. It turned out really good. The hubby loved it. They let him out early tonight. I thought that was decent of them. Now why do you think its a ghost town here tonight?

Some people are still with relatives. I am supposed to be with my parents going to see my grandparents and cousins for a late Thanksgiving get together tomorrow, but of course I'm not. I'm sure other Americans might be doing that too. As for the rest of the world, who knows? Maybe they are as unmotivated as I am. LOL

I wonder why it is a ghost town. Maybe everyone is worn out from shopping.
I've been on here a while but I was also doing other things, so I didn't post much. Mostly I commented on the responses to my discussions from the past couple of days, and things like that. Not many new posts. I suppose I should start my own discussion, but I've already started more than usual for me lately.

Well I' here..LOL. Might be on and off though since I'm doing some of my writing. I just had some more of my turkey (not the duck..blagh) and stuffing and am now sitting here filling on my Sweet Potato Pie--can I borrow some whipped cream?
I can't believe that stores open up as early as 4 in the morning the day after Thanksgiving and you actually have nutcases waiting to start their Christmas shopping--oh and bah humbug. Went out for a bit to get a few things, and every store, even the Walgreens is playing Christmas songs..I'm just not ready for that yet :(

Hey Terry,
I love potato cakes, thats what I call them. Mmmm really good stuff. I like making them with salmon patties.
Its probably because they are shopping and stuff. I dont see how people would want to be in all that madness really. It was nice and quiet at my house last night! No I wasnt on, I was sleeping when you posted this. I hurt my neck yesterday and its been a pain to sit at the desk. I hoping I will feel better today, this really sucks!

Its feeling better than it was this morning. I just took the pack from the freezer so I could warm it up, thats what I was thinking would work. I HAD to go to the store and I think maybe that might have helped too. Give the hot pack a try! :)
Thanks, Bay xx

Happy thanksgiving, am not American but I discover that this thanksgiving day takes great significance to the American people. Is it a national day of prayer? Here in Uganda we have our Natioal day prayer but it is not given the kind of significance I see with your thanksgiving day.Again Happy day!

We are still down south with our oldest daughter and her family. We are not going home until monday. I dread that 9 hour trip back. We had a nice Thanksgiving dinner with them. I love spending time with family.

Sometimes I think like that but I'm sure there are a lot of people posting. Just a lot of your friends aren't so it seems quiet to you. If you go into the new discussions and hot topic discussions I'm sure you find a lot to respond to. Or is it that you aren't getting very many responses to your discussions. That could make it seem slow to you. I don't think with the number of members here that all the members could be offline. Good luck in your searching.
