Do you believe in Telepathy?

I have often wondered if i was going crazy when i heard of unbelievable cases on TV and it made me wonder if it was possible that it was real. Like those cases of twins who are thousands of kilometers away from each other and when something bad happened to one of them, the other one felt it immediatly. I don't know, I know it's probably just fantasy and suggestion most of the time, but don't you think there can be a physical explanation to some cases? that somehow some people get to communicate through alternate paths? What do you think about telepathy? do you think it's all a fantasy or that there is some sort of real basis in all of it?

hi monty by ringing your dad when he was thinking of you is a form of telepathy have you ever thought of someone and they have rung you,or bumped into them in the street, that is another form of telepathy, also when someone has said something to you have you ever thought of the same thing at the same time-yet another form of telepathy--telepathy is a form of brain transference through our brain waves-it doesnt matter where a person is in the world especially if you are close to them telepathy brings you closer--take twins they may live on their own and when they meet up they are wearing the same clothing-another form of telepathy. telepathy is not bogus it is very real and happens in our every day lives though most people dont recognise-littleowl

I believed in the world has a mind the spirit induction, our each people all have the sixth sense, the mind induce actually also belong to the sixth sencse. The person has the sentiment , moreover we live in this world, the present scientise also is discussing this sensitive popic, but the science also could not explain some concerned the question which induced to the mind. But I still believed in the world has a mind the spirit induction.

The only telepathy I believe in is what I watch, but that is science fiction after all, like Star Trek and other programmes of that ilk, I would love to be telepathic but only me, the world would be in a state if everyone could read other peoples minds, could you imagine we either be in a world of peace 24/7 or a world at war 24/7 No lies, no secrets and no escape. Depending on your thought that could be a good thing. Our brains must be capable of more, like space brains have yet to be fully discovered or developed.

I don't know if it is real but I definitely belive in such stuff. I have a friend who can do things with her eyes. She can bent spoons with her eyes which is considered telekinesys. She went to a doctor and they told her it is a strange phenomenon, but because my country is very poor on doing researches they didn't make any tests on her.

I do believe it. It happens to me all the time with people i'm very close to. My mother also believes so, we had some great examples of it. Once happened in october, i went to another city to see Tool and Nine Inch Nails and me and my friends had to drive back for almost 400 km right after the concert. I had said to my mother i would have told her when it was ended and we were going to leave. But i didnt until we had alrady travelled for more than 100 km. I sent her an sms on the cell phone in that moment and one when we arrived to rome. Days after she told me how her cellphone was off but she had woke up within minutes i had sent ger the sms..both times!! That's telepathy. Another time years ago we were going skiing, i was a boy, and my father sees a car that was like one of some friends they have they were not seeying for months and months. He said it looked like their car and just a few minutes after those very friends of theirs called my father on the cellphone. Afetr months..it just cant be a case, i mean what are the odds of something like that happening casually? It also happens to me with my close friends many times. I just might think i want to hear somebody and he calls me right after. I really believe it is reality.

I don't believe in telepathy but it would be great if it existed. I wouldn't mind being telepathic with a few of my friends so we can help each other during exams :p

Good morning LightninStrike, When one considers the "The Hundreth Monkey Phenomenon", smaller scale sharing of consciousness seems pretty reasonable. Here is a link to the explanation, for anyone who may not know about the 100th Monkey: http://skepdic.com/monkey.html Personally, I'm more inclined to not discount mankind's possibilities, rather than to believe or not believe. The Human mind is really quite amazing. Much research has been done corroborating the measurable physiological changes that occur when alleged 'mystics' perform seemingly unbelievable feats of wonder with their bodies & minds. I know that I rely very heavily on intuition in many areas of my life. So, telepathy ... who knows? Perhaps it is Man's evolutionary destiny. And, perhaps some folks just have a head start.

It is said that we only use 5% of our brain and the possibilities of what that remaining 95% can do just astounds my mind. So I could say, that I do believe in telepathy.

I really believe that there is such a thing as telepathy - I am not sure how or why but it is real and I believe it is all tied in with esp or being psychic as well - again not sure how it all works but I have experienced the effects in the past that have been too much to be coincidence! xxx

I have wondered like you. I am starting to wonder if it possible. If so, it couldn't be "magic," at least by wording we use and it's meaning. But for example, they recently discovered the big news about the cat who lives in the hospice. The cat can always identify right away if a patient is going to die soon. Every time, he's right. He knows. And he curls up and stays with them until they die. Animals have amazing instincts that we do not have. One generation ago, we would have laughed that off and say it's pish-tosh. But hey, they can see in pitch dark when we are blind. There could be (maybe) other instincts that some of us have, or all of us have. Maybe some chemical or vibe travels through the air? There are some amazing reports now and then that seem to be hard to believe, but really true.

When we saw something good or bad on TV ,the first feeling is different. Some one would feel happy or sad , some other persons maybe think it just a thing we had seen on TV.

I absolutely believe in telepathy. Even though science knows a lot about the human body and brain we are no where close to understanding all of it and how it works. I kind of think of telepathy this way: I can't see radio waves flying through the air but somehow they hit my radio and I understand the words or hear the music. Why can't our brains do the same thing? I don't think it's much of a stretch to believe in telepathy.
