Are you looking forward to the Hobbit movie even if Sam Raimi ends up directing it instead of Peter Jackson? Do you think it will have the same appeal?

I think it will. I am a big fan of J.R.R. Tolkien and I think it would be great to see story befor the Lord of the Rings and more about the Ring. Who will be in the role of Bilbo? He has a big part in the story of Hobbit. And I hope that Gandalf will be the same actor he was very good in LOTR.

Peter Jackson had made middle earth into real life and his adaptation of lotr is the best and creative....Peter and Sam raimi are both good directors in their own unique way. If Sam Raimi is going to direct in the hobbit, im sure it would looks different. I think Peter Jackson could show off the emotions of the character of middle earth back in the hobbit movies. Peter Jackson is the best director fit in this kind of adventurous movie and not Sam Raimi.

The Hobbit is the first book by Tolkien I have ever read. So when I heard about the film I got really excited. I'm looking forward to it and I hope it will be as good as the Lord of the rings.

Well, I really like what Jackson did with it so I wonder if anyone could make it quite like he would. But I like Raimi's work too and it is just The Hobbit, not a LotR sequel or something with the same actors in it. So it may work out good either way. I still can't help but hope that Peter Jackson still gets a chance to do it...

I'm not that much excited about the Hobbit movie. Maybe because I don't like Hobbits or Halflings that much. Sam Raimi in my opinion is a very good director but he just doesnt fit in to these adventur types of film. Peter Jackson already proved his genius by creating the Trilogy so I bet he's gonna be better than Sam Raimi.

I think it has a great potential in becoming a great movie since the story itself is a good one. I just wish it would be made in the same context as the trilogy (i.e. same actors, same director, etc.)

Well, I love the Hobbit. I think it's a great story and I loved the animated movie that was out years ago. I'd see it just because I love the story. As to whether it will be as visually appealing as the Lord of the Rings Trilogy without Peter Jackson at the helm... possibly not. He had a great vision of what middle earth should look like, and all of the creatures in it. Rami's good, it might be interesting to have that comparison.

As long as he movie turns out good, no one will complain. But anywhere both are prominent directors who are well known. So should be a near perfection production as well?
