Whats a good place to go in Mexico

My husband and i are going to Mexico in December where is a good place to go?? I heard Cancun has quite a bit of damage from the hurricane yet

I have been to Acapulco, Mexico a couple years ago and I liked it there quite a bit. Cancun is a nice place. Don't know if they repaired the damage yet from the hurricanes. Mexico City might be another option.
