Who's got some good ideas for all the leftover turkey I have? We bought a 15 pound turkey and have probably about 10 pounds left. I know we bought too big of a bird, but with the coupon we had it was actually cheaper than buying just a turkey breast. So now I'm stuck trying to figure out what to do with all this meat. Help! Any ideas/recipes for it would be very much appreciated thanks.

You could make a turkey pot pie. That's one thing I'm doing with all leftovrs. Just some shredded turkey meat, a bag of frozen veggies, a can of cream of chicken soup, and bisquick for the crust. The recipe to make the crust is on the box. You could make 2 or 3 and freeze the extras for meals at another time. Then you'll just need to pull one out and toss it in the oven for a quick and easy meal.

I am making turkey soup right now with my leftovers. I put the whole bird in water and boil it for a couple of hours, then separate the meat from everything else, strain the water I used and add cut up veggies- carrots, potatoes, onions, celery, add a little salt and pepper, and simmer until veggies are soft. I like to serve it over noodles. It is sooo good.

Well you can share it to us... or to anyone near you that doesn't have a chance to have turkey in thanksgiving turkey. So you are lucky enough to have this chance to have enough, how about sharing,,,

I like to make turkey gravy (or buy it if you didn't save any of the drippings from the turkey) and heat up some shredded turkey in it with whatever spices I'm in the mood for. Then serve it on a nice deli roll or a hoagie roll. It makes a great hot turkey sandwich. You can do a casserole of Thanksgiving leftovers. Just layer turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy and maybe a little mild cheese in a casserole dish and bake until it's heated through.

I used Alfredo sauce, added turkey to it and served over pasta. I was looking for something different from the Thanksgiving meal. Then I made sandwiches for a meal, and made soup with the rest. Happy posting..

Ooooh now thats a new recipe addition, I bet it tasted really outstanding ! (I love anything with Alfredo added) Great idea crazy_ol_lady ! How about making it a barbecue sauce and serving it like shredded barbecued prok or beef with turkey instead over rice or noodles or even crunched up taco shells ! I bought a 12 pound turkey. We had a bunch leftover. I sent some home with my brother and we had turkey sandwiches made with leftover rolls. I am taking the rest and making a turkey pot pie with a nice homemade pie crust.
