Nope just Mylot. Don't be ashamed Marcie about AA, those meetings have helped thousands and thousands of people. They have also saved lives. Be proud you are going. I read where the courts are making you go, part of your punishment. The meetings can't hurt, and you do like to visit. socialise and talk with people. I wish you a wonderful day too, happy shopping.

Yes i agree with this! No reason to be ashamed of...These groups help people and is nothing bad in that and also is very good to accept you have a problem than pretending you don't!

Thanks that make me feel better, I was in denial, but talking to others from group, I can relate to them. only things are not as bad as their stories, if you heard some of those stories, I am not that bad, it is just the courts are making me do this. For D. U. I, it will help me in the long run.

I am not in any support group at this time but years ago I was in Alanon and so was my daughter. The were wonderful and compleletely changed my outlook on life. I am sorry you feel ashamed to be an AA member. I think you should be proud of taking charge of your life in such a positive way. Just think that there are other people there whom you will be in a position to help. Bless you!

You should not feel ashamed, Marcie. You have taken a step (for however or whatever). I went to Overeaters Anonymous for quite a while. You do feel something when you admit to a problem, but at least you are working on that problem. (HUGS) Bruce and I belong to an online support group. For Multiple Sclerosis. Yahoo Groups MSFriends2. It is a wonderful online support group. We have made alot of friends and have met a couple, also.
