What kind of reading do you like?

I love to read. I like romantic books. I like mystery books, with a romance story in it. I don't like to read a mystery that has no romance. It isn't like real life to me. I think the world and every one in it wants some romance in their lives, as in someone to love and be loved by. I also love to read romance magazines like True Confessions. I like the short stories in them, if I'm not in the mood to get into a book. But since I became a member in mylot I don't read as much because I'm busy reading and posting here. Some of the discussions are like reading a romance magazine. What kind of books do you like? Do you read magazines, also. Which ones?

I like science fiction. I also read mysteries, but I kind of like the "series" type mysteries where you keep seeing the same people, like the alphabeth mysteries by Sue Grafton, the navaho mysteries by Tony Hillermann, the Cat Who books by Lilian Jackson Braun, and the numbers by Janet Evonovich. I do like some romances, but I like them best when they are funny. I, on the other hand, don't think the world wants romance, as a never married 54 yr old, who worked for years seeing divorces I think most people marry for lust, not love, and see marriage as just a "legal" way to get it.

I like to read comedy, drama, and mystery. I use to like to read Stephen King, but The Stand went too far beyond what I could handle. I also like to read self-help books. I am always working to better myself. My favorite magazine is Reader's Digest.

reading - a nerd reading a book
Well I'm a nerd, so right now I'm just reading textbooks and newspapers. Knowledge is power. I'm a fan of Robert Kiyosaki's Rich Dad series. It teaches financial intelligence, and it has really influenced my life. I highly recommend it especially for those who are sick and tired of the rat race.

Hi,there! I also like reading though I don't read that much these days. I like detective novels. I also like some books which tell us some principles. I think it's very benefical to read those books cause they either train our thoughts and minds or make us see some essences of our life.I also like reading some newspapers in order to keep myself updated to the things that go on this world. I like magazines as well.I like some economy magazines as well as fashion magazines:) Thanks for the discussion. Best wishes^_^

I like reading thriller books and suspense stories. I love reading but due to hectic and busy life, no energy is left with me to read. When I will retire, I will spend time for my hobby.

I like to read all kinds of books. I really like books about people's life experiences, and about overcoming obstacles. I think they are great when it comes to getting out of a rut. Inspiring. I read a book every week or two. We utilize the library a lot, so I dont spend tons of money buying books. But I do own quite a few.

Like you, I also love to read. I like to read romantic books, especially if it is historical romance. I also love to read mystery books, suspense and thriller books. I also read John Grisham novel and Tom Clancy, I also read an inspirational book. but mostly, I am addicted in reading historical romance. Why? It is because I wanted to know if the people in the book exist. I am not looking for the true-to-life story. i just wanted to know if those nobleman and noblewoman or lords and ladies do exist in the past.

I also like to read romance/mystery books. I love reading fiction, anything that has to do with murder or FBI agents or something like that. There always has to be some type of problem and then the main characters fall in love...very important. Even though its the kind of stuff that can never happen in real life, thats why its so good. Nora Roberts, Elizabeth Lowell, Irish Johanson, and Catherine Coulter etc. all write amazing mystery/romance novels. I have almost all of the books written by each author and I would recommend them to anyone who likes or is interested in that type of genre.

Everything. Reading is a means to knowledge and it never hurts to brain up lol. Above all else i would have to say adult fantasy , such as authors like Terry goodkind and Robert Jordan. Even Stephen King's Dark Tower series ,which was a stretch since he is such a famed horror writer.
