How is the Acer brand of laptops ???

I am going to buy a new laptop very soon..
i have been seeing Acer laptops for low peroces compared to opther brands...and i am looking to buy one of them
how is their quality ? can i go for it ??

Acer has been around for a long time and although they are not really the top brand, they are really not bad and quite reliable as a notebook. On top of that, their pricing makes i worth the money that you will be paying for one. Just remember that, whatever it is, Acer is considered as a branded computer and therefore, the quality factor is definitely there.

My daughter got a new acer laptop this September. It is nice but it is our first laptop. The only things I don't like are that she wants a "real mouse" because she doesn't like the finger thingy and also it is a vista which I don't like. But it runs fast and it is clear so far.

Hi vicki good to hear about acer, i have a suggestion for you why dont you go for a usb mouse which is really good. Still you have plenty of options open for you regarding mouse (bluetooth, infrared, chinese make, etc). Ninty percent in the world use usb mouse for laptop because it is efficient and good.
Can you give me information about vista it would be helpful because i am planning for an upgradation.

Acer is a good brand of laptop(the 3rd or the 4th in the world as i know).Its products usually have a wonderful performance and a relatively low price.Oh,in addition,it also have a decent appearance~

I am a proud and happy owner of an acer laptop, an aspire 4520g it is quite powerful and very competitive in its own class. it has a dedicated 8400m g video card which supports dx10 so you can run newer games, and it is also quite upgradeable, can change the video card and processor! ;)
