What's the last movie you went to?

We rarely go to the movies ($30 bucks for 2 adults and 2 kids for a matinee, not to mention %6.50 for pretzel nuggets and $3.50 for a small box of M&M's!) but we've actually taken the kids to the movies the past 2 Sundays. Last week it ws Bee Movie, which I thought was cute, smart and entertaining. My 4 year old was bored about halfway through, but anything longer than Wow Wow Wubzy or Go Diego Go usually bores him. Today we saw Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium. The premise could have been great, but it was a little dull, drawn out, plotless, etc. The special effects were cool, but I wish they would have developed the plot more. Maybe next time hubby and I will go to a grownup movie! So what was the last movie you saw at the movie theater? Who did you go with? And did you buy snacks or bring them?

I went to the movies yesterday with my daughter, my sister and her daughter and my other sister and her grandson. We saw Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium also. I thought it was going to be a great movie for the kids, but it didn't keep their attention. I thought it was a bit boring at times too. I bought a big bucket of popcorn that we all shared and I bought a bottle of water for $3! Quite pricey...that's why I don't generally go to the movies.

I know what you mean about the expense! Especially if you have a family! It is expensive where I go here in the UK, £12.50 (or $25) for ONE adult! I don't go much because there has to be a real good movie for me to go and see. The last film I saw was Shrek 3 which was months ago now. I love horror films but none of my friends like them, and I hate going alone, so I wait till Sky, I must save a fortune by watching films on Sky than going to the flix!

I took my 3yr. old son to see "Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium" 3 days ago. He fell asleep, but it was a cute movie. I don't go much cause so spendy. here in Ketchikan, Ak to see a matinae for the 2 of us was $13. I miss the days when matinae's were $3. each. that was years ago. So I enjoy movies mostly when they come on dvds.

The last film I saw at the movies was "War." I went on my own. When I go I usually buy a drink and a Ben and Jerry's Wich to eat. Sometimes I'll buy some sweets from the shop near by as they are cheaper. I agree that going to the cinema is very expensive. Especially if you have children.

the last movie I watched was The Kingdom. It was pretty boring for me, I even fell asleep. Don't really fancy movies with much shooting or war type movies.

Wow, I haven't been to the cinema in AGES! I hadn't even thought about this, until I saw this conversation! The last time I went to the cinema was to see Superman, back in August 2006, lolz, and now I'm trying to find a good movie I can go and watch with friends, coz I've got a craving for popcorn! Wish me luck, lolz.

I just watched enchanted yesterday. It was so funny. Watching movies in cinemas is very cheap here in the Philippines so I can afford to watch a movie every week if I wanted to. A ticket will only cost around 1-2 USD. Sometimes I go with friends and family members (depending on what movie to watch). Sometimes I even go alone, just to pass the time (an inexpensive way to pass the time especially when waiting for someone to finish shopping).

The last movie that I went to was Ghost Son. I hate that movie. I just waste my money watching that movie. My friends enjoyed that movie. But for me, I didn't. Add to the fact is that there are a group of guys who are making a lot of noise during the movie. And besides, I hate horror movies.

i agree with you that the price to go and watch a movie is outrageous... i can't even remember when is the last time me and my hubby go and watch a movie in the cinema... we prefer to wacth it at home... it is much cheaper and relaxing for us... so if we want to watch a movie, we just buy the DVD or rent it and watch it at home... it saves a lot of money and we can take our own time to watch it...

I haven't gone to see a movie in theaters since Pirates of the Carribean 2... that's a long time ago! I went with my best friend and her husband, and I'm pretty sure they bought me pop and candy. I really wish I could get out to go to the movies more often. Occasionally something will come out that I really wish I could see right away, but I just don't get to go most of the time. Lack of babysitting is the major issue here.

I hardly go to the movies to its just to expensive to go every week I go every few months. But I went to the movies last night and I saw Beowulf at the imax in 3d. Let me tell you its worth the money I really enjoyed the movie. Plus it was the first time I ever saw a movie in 3d and it made it a lot better because you felt you were actually there. I higly reccomend that movie but not for the kids it's a bit to grusome and should of been rated r for the 3d version of it.

I also don't go to the movies that often, because I just think it's ridiculous how much it costs. We have a $3 theater in my area. These theaters are the best. It's not a franchise or anything but I've heard of others who have similar theaters. It's $$3 any time of day Mon-Thurs and $3.50 Friday - Sun. Food and a Drink is about $6. The particular theater I go to used to be a bowling alley so it's not that nice or anything. Plus the reason the movies are so cheap is because they come out in that theater a few weeks after they've been in the regular theater. anyway, the last movie I saw was either Knocked up or Transofrmers. I can't remember which one I saw first cause I saw them both around the same time. I think that the last one I saw was transformers and while it was out in the real theater around 4th of july I saw it around labor day.

My granddaughter and I took in a movie 2 weeks ago. We had dinner before we went and bought a bottle of water for $2.50. The movie was Game Plan with Dwayne Johnson "The Rock". It was real cute. We both enjoyed it immensely. It is not something we do very often because it is very spendy. Happy posting..
