I joined facebook a few weeks ago and already my friends in there are fantastic. They are from all around Australia and I have never actually met them some of them but sometimes it feels as though they care more than my everyday friends. Does anyone else feel that way or am I standing alone on this lol? I never thought I could have so many friends wow facebook has really opened my eyes.It is amazing this internet thingy hey.

I actually like Facebook better than Myspace because Facebook deals with "networks," which makes it harder for people who don't know you to add you. I know almost every one of my friends on Facebook at least by face or name, and most of them I have talked to personally. I think that Facebook is a wonderful place to keep in touch with friends you have moved away from or to meet new friends from your networks. I actually feel uncomfortable adding people that I don't know to my friends list.. but that might be just me. I think the best thing about Facebook is that you can weed out the people that you don't know, while still being able to meet people in your networks (cities or schools).

If someone wants to add me I usually ask them a few questions first to make sure I know who they are. Isnt easy at times. I love it that it is soooo interactive so to speak with the food fight and gross out lol. Only problem I have found is that when you start you cant stop and when you do you slow right down. well I did anyway cant keep up now lol.

It's actually very smart to ask people questions when they add you! I really respect people who ask me questions when they don't know exactly who I am. It's smart to screen so that no creeps add you.

Problem is that doesnt always stop them, Some are very sneaky. Hopefully you can screen most out with your questions lol. It has still been an interesting experience must admit.

I know exactly what you mean. I don't have a lot of real life friends, but have heaps on facebook. It's really good because if I am feeling a bit down I go there, and have a bit of a chat, and feel heaps better. It's one of those things. I live in a small town, and so can't be 'unhappy' or people start to ask why. A bit strange - but there you go. If someone wants to be my facebook friend http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=649913010
