registering myLot with fake location and age

There are two ways it can check: 1. I.P. No. of the computer (but some smart young people have found out methods where one cannot make out IP nos. of the computers one uses. 2. From the email or I.P. No. it is possible to locate the origin from where the message is coming from or location of the computer. It is not only in my lot, but many other sites have this facility. For example, when I log in to some sites in Europe, it immediately recognizes I am from India and hence I cannot participate in their site. 3. Secondly, the Paypal has bank a/c and credit card a/c checked (verified) against the actual names given). That way mylot is not restricting a family of 2 to participate in the mylot deliberations as long as it is not pseudo

Of course I think it is possible to happen everywhere. Lately I have a referral friend and when she registered her information in Mylot, she asked me whether she had to fill out the true status. I told her of course. I have never thought we should leave a fake information here. I don't appreciate this behavior. Being afraid of information stolen is just an excuse. They are afraid being cheated but they haven't realized actually they are not honest to others at first.

It is very difficult to find out the correct information of mylot users.But one thing is posible ie the location of the user by tracing is or her ip address.

I am not expert at computer or program or sites thing. But Why we using different country if we can use our at mylot?

I don't think mylot can control it. Becuase how they will knwo if your age is 40 or 18? But also i don't see why someone would put here a fake age.

Hello sweet plumwish. I think that's not possible for mylot to chase the silly user. Mylot as the God and the mylotters are his salves. So, how can the slaves lie to their God? Plum, what you are thinking is quite possible. To become a member of mylot you need to open a new E-Mail ID and you can become a member, there appear no mechanism to cross check whether a member is genuine or not (I think...it would be very difficult for mylot to check genuiness of their members). But I think, the one who are with fake identities cannot carry for a long time, due to so many factors. Have a great day! Deepak

I guess you could falsify some things, but I believe they would have to have separate email addresses for each identity... the mylot identity is based on that first, like most other sites. Its possible, but it sure seems like a lot of work!

I know it is against mylot rules to have two accounts but under two ids I don't know but they might possibly have a way of checking. I know of one who was banned and came back with a different and was banned again so I think Mylot is more cagey than we think. I only know that what is in my profile is the truth my name and age.
