Why does Grey's Anatomy always make me cry?

Does it have this effect on anyone else? I can answer my own question. Meredith and Derrick's relationship reminds me of my own crazy mixed up relationship. You can read about it on my personal blog. There is a link to it on my blog on my profile. It is called a day in the life of a single parent. Catchy, huh? Anyway, back to the point. I get so sad watching this show. Yet, I continue to watch it week after week. I have season 1 & 2 on dvd so sometimes I like to torture myself and sit down and watch the other seasons. Yup, just for fun. Torture. LOL. Does anyone else relate this way to Grey's?

I think that the reason is because the makers of Grey's Anatomy have tried to incorporate many of the most common personalities in our society and teamed them up with experiences and dramas that many people go through. It makes the story line more real and we relate to it. If you can imagine yourself in a characters shoes you are more likely to be emotional towards the show!
