Do you have something that you kept for many years?

Do you have something that you kept like letters, as in old old letters, baby shirts of your baby? I mean, not pictures. We really keep pictures. Not jewelries! Of course we keep jewelries! But anything that you have kept because you value it? Well I have. I have this plastic "santa claus" which was given to me by my parents when I was six years old. This santa had a pair before but the other one was lost. And until now, after 27 years, I still keep this little santa with me and hang it every christmas in our christmas tree. That's the oldest i think. But I also have letters from classmates and birthday cards that I truly value. I have them for around 17 years or so. What do you have?

Yes I do keep a lot of things that are precious to me. I still have the letters my first boyfriend wrote me when we were like kids. LOL I kept all the cute things he gave me, too. I also have all my childhood toys in a box inside my closet. And my first paintings and sketches are well preserved, too. They bring back good memories. I like to go through them once in a while. Makes me happy.

I kept alot of my kids' stuff....drawing etc. and two years ago I put them in a scrapbook for each one of them with their school pictures etc....and I gave it to them for Christmas. They loved it! It's nice to look back at those memories!

I have this old cowboy guy on an old horse. It was my dads. He passed when I was 2 months old. The cowboy guy isnt that great looking and older than me but its all I have except a few pictures. I also kept all the love letters my hunny wrote to me while we were dating. I keep them in the cd case of the first cd he bought me. Thts been 7 years now. He even still has the love letters I wrote him in his wallet. Keeping something so simple can remind us of the past and the good times we had with those people.

I have the scrapbook my mother made for me in 1951 with all my baby cards etc.. it's crumbling and the pages are brown but it's the most valuable thing I have....to know she did it for me. I treasure it.
