Most readers never comment unless you're writing on a controversial topic. If you're waiting for comments, you might just as well give up. Is your subject interesting? Is it well written? If you can say yes to both, be patient and wait for traffic to build. It can take months. I have a blog that's been going for almost a year and a half. I hardly ever get comments, but I get anywhere from fifty hits a day to almost 200. Two to four good posts a week is plenty. Lot's of people won't even bother to read if you post every day, unless you're giving them useful information.

Yeah, it is true that most readers do not care to post their comment in a blog nowaday. Unless you your post is something that interest them. Try to post somthing worth reading for a change, not the usual about your life. It is so boring!!!

Well, first thing, my blog isn`t about my personal life because i think that blogs which are only about personal life are sort of rubbish.. no offense to anyone.. my blog is moneymaking oriented and it`s on my first language(Croatian) and i`m trying to introduce croatian people with the opportunities that internet offers.. i guess patience is everything nowdays.. thanks for your response..

I'm not sure patience is going to do you much good. First, you're competing in a topic that already has thousands of blogs. Second, how many Croatians are there who would be interested? Probably not that many, and it could take months for them to even find your blog.

Don't worry too much about comments and traffic. Just concentrate on your posts and do the basic things to get the traffic. You may succeed or fail, that doesn't matter. Blogging is a trial and error process. My first two blogs were merely no-visitors type. I am the only regular visitor and my hit counter would never move on. I didn't quit for about 1.5 years going this way. But, my third blog has been marginally successful. I am getting regular visitors now. So, don't quit. Quitters don't win and winners don't quit (I read this recently in one of the blogs). It is not necessary to post daily. Fix a schedule that is comfortable for you. If you feel once in a week is comfortable, then just go ahead. Make your intentions clear to the readers. Thats all. The frequency is upto you. We read daily newspapers, weekly magazines, fortnightly magazines and so on. We know the frequency and we accept it and know when to expect it. Keep going. Do not quit. Traffic will come; when? Nobody knows. Regards, http://assessmyblog.blogspot.com/

That's great. Just keep going without stressing yourself. After all, blogging is fun. If you have any doubts, you can always leave a comment in my blog and will respond to you at the soonest possible. By the way, I tried to find your blog address but in vain. It is a good idea to include it in your discussions.

I have several blogs on differing subjects. I don't try to post every day to every one. I find if I try that, I'm making bad posts. I prefer to go for quality rather than quantity. You do have to post every few days, though, if you plan to build a consistent readership.

I also prefer quality but i`m trying to keep my readers everyday on my blog.. i have 7 posts which are at least 300 words long, and i`m trying to present my content in a sort of sarcastic way.. maybe they don`t understand my sense of humor?hehe

I don't. I don't think it is necessary to post everyday until you have regular traffic. Is your blog personal or business?

hey dont worry about that, generally more comments will be for those blogs who have a good network and whose blogs are successful with thier unique content. But excluding these if you want to get comments to your blog then I would suggest you to remove the nofollow option for comments in your blog. And mention that you removed the nofollow option. Then you get some good comments with the traffic.

I post before I go to to bed for the night for about half an hour. It's a routine for me. My advice is just to get into a regular schedule with doing it.

Do not be discouraged, there are just times when people remain "invisible" but they do read your blog. The only time I was discouraged was when I could not post my blog because of internet connection. :) Anyhow, I managed to cope with that, I copy and paste all things I have written in my files. :)

I post not more than two discussion per day and guess what? the most traffic i can get is 7 posts and atleat 0 responses, but I really dont mind. I respond to like 10 discussions in a day and in the mean time enjoy myself by having lots of fun in here. My earnings meter also goes up slowly. Thanks for sharing.

You could search the internet for ideas and content, and perhaps create a sub niche, or expand. Also try to get ideas from people, magazines, news, outdoor activities, i.e. - aspects from everyday life. Also subscribe to popular bloggers about content optimisation. You can find popular links, blog ideas, and online Income ideas in my site Internet Online Cash in my mylot profile...

Well I feel the same way before but not having any comments on your post doesn't mean that no one visits your blog. I have lots of posts on my blog. Like you I always post 2 articles per day and only few posts have comments. I guess what I am trying to tell you is, if you like blogging you should continue. You'll be able to see someday that there will be comments on your blog and I sure that you have lots of visitors. You just need to continue what you are doing. Like most of those people who had their blogs for a long time. If you just recently put up you blog you need to work on getting traffic on to your blog and that not an easy task it will mostly take a couple of months. But since you are updating your blogs everyday before, I guess you'll definely get lots of reader. You just need to wait and update you blog always.
