again, the house of representatives junked an impeachment complaint. for three years in a row, the allies of arroyo have been successful in putting the complaint into a trial in the senate by thwarting the complaint as lacking in substance. still, there are many allegations and accusations that need to be explained. arroyo is adamant and stubborn to provide explanation or shed light in the issues that hound her administration.
do you agree with the house of representatives of junking the impeachment complaint?

Well it just shows that opposition is not able to fixed things out in submission of the complaint and the majority always find ways to stop it. During the Erap days they were even not interested whatsoever so they were taken aback when things just happening against their side. I think we do have a weak opposition. They are not as united as the present admin that they could hide their mistakes. For them to win the game they should be able to prepare unite and be able to convince the people to support them in their cause. I feel that opposition has some points in their arguments but sometimes they are easily overruled when the majority intervenes especially in the senate. They could have stand strong in there but then their ally Villar all of a sudden switch back to being in the admin again which fragmented the senate during the organization. Although now Senate is composed of oppositionist but then it is somehow ruled by the admin senators at the back. So I say there is no real solid opposition that exist right now they are still fragmented and are easily broken when money speaks.

rsa101 our politicians are chameleons in nature,if they see that its good for their personal ambitions they will change their party, just like Villar.I didn't say that all politicians are like Villar, but most of them are.Take a look at Miriam Defensor and Enrile, they are two of the biggest ally of Estrada, when Estrada is gone from office, they shift their allegiance to Gloria. If a politician has something to protect, like bussiness or a personal ambition, the welfare of the people are neglected. This is the reason why a genuine opposition is hard to find.Or if you are young and full of ideals, like Chiz you can't say that Chiz will be a genuine opposition because of his utang na loob or gratitude to the big bussiness who helped him in the campaign period.

our politicians become insulated from the public opinion. they don't care what the public thinks and says. it is because, in my view, we have not used prudently and wisely the power of the ballot. these politicians think that they can do anything they want that benefits them, and still win in election. so why bother to consider public opinion when they can win elections without minding what the people say? this is unfortunate for us. i think we should let those crooks (politicians) know that they are public servants and not masters. we should reclaim the power of the ballot by campaigning hard against these people, and campaigning hard for those people who are supportive and mindful of our plight and condition.

well, those people should prove their credibility...i mean, for the past few years there are 'dent' in their credibility..so it would be better if those hard and physical evidence should be openly presented to the public and the public shall decide...it is not enough that the opposition or 'whoever' will just come out of the open to give accusations as to arroyo's corrupt practices should give out all evidences...then, that's the time that the people will decide..maybe another people's power revolution to oust arroyo...she has much power that made her 'somehow' invincible...as for me, i don't know whether i should believe the allegations since i have not actually followed the updates as to the evidences presented...

allow me to enumerate some but major charges that were thrown to arroyo. bear in mind that all of these charges have witnesses to give credence and evidences. 1.) that arroyo cheated in the 2004 election, 2.) that arroyo violated a bundle of human rights when she declared state of emergency in 2006 and extrajudicial killings increased in her watch, 3.) that arroyo tolerated the bribery in NBN deal, 4.) that arroyo violated public trust when "cash-gifts" were handed out and she did not even mind issuing any statement.
for me, the first charge is the most significant one. because it provides legitimacy to the power and office she holds. so far, i pity her because she could not even give a speech to the public without being heckled or shouted upon as "pekeng pangulo." she is the most unpopular and unsatisfactory president ever with the highest negative ratings given to a president since sws started to measure popularity and performance satisfaction. it is tragic for the filipino people that we have a "president" who can't tell the truth and be honest to us. that's why majority of pinoys do not trust her.
one last thing though, the philippines deserve better than arroyo. God bless the philippines!

We are only getting what we deserved. When Marcos is thrown out of office many believed that we will be free of corruption or graft practices.Marcos is a good and capable president, many of his works or achievements are thrown to Cory,Ramos and Gloria.Until today when Ninoys birthday came the government venerate him as hero and Marcos as a corrupt president. When Estrada came to power, they demonized him,i mean the church and the bussiness sector. What they did to Marcos they do to Estrada.Don't you notice that the time of Cory,Ramos, and Gloria are full of hardships on the part of the poor people and very satisfactory to the bussiness man and the church because of the taxes they managed to avoid. What im trying to tell is they are more corrupt than Marcos and Estrada, and any president cannot escape corruption because the system itself is corrupt and the American bussiness are raking in profit with this set up.Marcos and Estrada are doing the right thing for our people and our country to boost its economy and alleviate poverty, and in doing so they are conflicting the interest of the businessman, both foreign and local.Cory set up liberalization so that Ramos can execute oil deregulation and privatization, this two are the ones that kill our economy. Then Ramos set up globalization and the anti-terror bill for the next president hoping that it will be de Venecia, but unfortunately it is Estrada who won in the 1998 election,so the next plan is to oust Estrada and put Gloria as the next president. We will be a country of fools if we can't see those facts. The mainstream media are their ally,so all lies are heard over the radio, seen on t.v.or read in the newspaper.Compare Estrada to Gloria when under attack,Estrada is open to public scrutiny, didn't use the military, while Gloria is using the military, the media, the Supreme Court, and Congress to hide the truth.
