Before you answer this question I want you to think about it ....What did you do before there was TV to watch? Now I know most of you will laugh at this question because TV has been in your life forever but think about it this way What would you do if there were no TV's to take up so much of your time? Would you learn to do some crafts, read more books, write a book, visit the sick, visit your friends, or grandparents? Haven't you ever noticed that the people on TV are never watching TV? They are always doing something else. So what would you do if there were no TV to watch?

I won't laugh at your question, as I watched TV for the first time when I was about 8 years old and there was not a TV set at home until I was about 14. Then I was a child, so I would not do now what I did then. But I remember what my parents and my grand parents did at that time. Everyday two newspapers were read: one in the morning and one in the evening. People listened to the radio and perhaps they visited more frequently their relatives and friends.

I loved watching TV when I was younger especially watching animated shows. I thought I can never get over it, but you actually do. It's not that hard having no TV in your life, but it also makes a difference when you turn it back on and you see unusual things/shows that will influence you. If I had no TV, I'll be spending time with family and friends playing SCRABBLE.

I saw answers in wich they say that tv is not so important, that's true but now the tv has been replaced with the pc that's the problem. Now you spend a lot more time in front of a pc than you did in front of tv.

I could live without a TV no problem. My TV is hardly ever switched on, I haven't watched it for about 3 weeks now. Doing without my PC would be a different matter however! I guess I would spend more time reading and listening to the radio (I do like background noise) and doing stuff that I used to do before I became an internet addict lol. Stuff like drawing and writing.

when I was a kid, there was no tv,the only entertainment in that form was the radio, there was always a great story on,Amos and Andy,Abbott and Costello, the shadow knows, and a whole pile more,it was great, then after school,we would always find friends to play with, cowboys and indians, cops and robbers,or even play with my sisters.and at night,we would read,I picked up a lot of history that I use today in my work, that I learned then.

Going without tv doesn't bother me at all as long as I have my computer and books to read and friends to talk to i am fine without a tv. As a matter of fact I have been withput tv before for a couple of months. i just learned to read and stay busy doing other things.

I would read a book. Play a board game. I also love to play cards. I watch TV several hours a week, but not nearly as much as I used to. When we were children, Mom always had us in the yard, playing games. We always found something to do.

I actually never had a TV growing up until I was 12 years old when we got our first. Everyone else seemed to be smittened by the TV and I never really cared. I loved Bonanza, I thought of being in love with little Joe. We were allowed to watch that each night then it was bedtime. If I lived alone I would never own a TV. I'm more into Country and Western music.

To be honest, I don't really watch that much TV to begin with, if I do put it on, it's usually to watch a DVD movie, and I watch...I don't like to do anything else..I mean that is kind of the point in having a TV on. Although I do know people who as soon as they come home or are home alone will have it on I guess just to have the human voice contact or something. My day/night is usually always so busy that I have a lot to do besides watch TV--for instance just today I wrote an article and submitted it to AC, worked on one of five dreamcatchers I have to make up as an order and hope to have all done by the end of the week,, plus started to finalize my photographic portfolio to send in for the grant I applied for..gee, not much..LOL That's how most of my week is going to go..plus catch up here on MyLot

I am already doing it..I crochet, read, and play games with my grandsons...When I was growing up we had to play outside during the day and we could only watch TV on Sunday evening..Walt Disney World..I never got attached to watching TV so it doesn't bother me not too! Actually I want to do more than I do now...

If you are living in a crowded city with less of nature's beauty to be seen, having no TV, your life will really get boring. But, it may also the best time to get creative in finding things to do, you can exercise a lot, go walking to the park with your family and do a more things which can strengthen your bonding with your family.

here in the philippines we experience power failure a lot, so sometimes there are no Tvs to watch even if we wanted too. it is kinda boring specially when you are used to watching tv. we play games. card games, bored games. or sometimes go to the mall.

Well a/ I'm not old enough to know what life was like before television. So I've pretty much always had tv and the only time I didn't watch was when I was a kid and too young to even know anything. 2/ I know how to do crafts and other things as I do most of them while watching tv. I don't really think tv is that bad and I think we learn a lot. Plus it's comfort, a friend, and entertainment when there is nothing else. d/ People on tv do watch a tv. Actually people on tv watch tv a lot. However, what I do think is interesting is that if you watch most reality shows they never have a television. Why is this? well how boring would the reality show be if they sat around watching tv all day. So they do other things. A lot of times it's drinking. Other times it's doing it. and other times it's playing games or cards or talking or being bored out of their mind.

There are many things you can do without the tv and I am assuming you mean also no computer because I rarely watch tv, I am always on the computer..lol When ever we get our electric turned off or a storm hits us, we usually play games, read, do a little sewing or crafts, if the weather permits, go outside, take a walk, play with my son...

I remember we don't have one when I was young. So we usually play until we get tired and fall asleep. There are so many things to do when you aren't preoccupied with TV. People would be hanging out more often, as there is nothing to do in their spare time. It would be a good bonding time for family members, listening to stories each would tell. Some would engage in a hobby. There are so many things to do when you are not distracted by the TV, just use your imagination and creativity. Life wouldn't be boring at all.
