This christmas I'm going to host a party at my place for my family. On the exact day, i'll be around my parents because of my son. (it's nice to share it with them) After that they'll come back around here the following day and on new years eve too. ~Joey

Hi dixie1! It has been a tradition within our family to have a get together during the 24th of December. We usually wait for midnight and all open their gifts at this hour. We have dinner together and all members of the family are present, no excuses..my grandmother wouldn't hear any of it. haha.. Take care and have a nice day. :)

On Christmas Eve when I get off work we'll drive the two hour trip to where my family lives. We'll have our annual gift exchange at my maternal Grandmothers house, then go to my dads to spend the night. Then we'll get up Christmas morning to open presents, have breakfast, run out to my paternal Grandmas for a few minutes then head back home to do Christmas with my hubby's family :)

In the morning, my daughter, myself & my husband will open our Christmas presents in the lounge room near the tree. We will either have a biggish breakfast of eggs & bacon, & then very little lunch, or maybe a normal brekky & normal lunch. At 3.00pm we pick up my two step children. They then open their Christmas presents. The kids will go off & play, whilst hubby & I will start preparing the big evening meal. It will be roast meats, but I still haven't decided whether to have roast vegetables or salad. We are inviting 9 family members to come here for Christmas tea, although I don't know whether they will all come yet.

Like you, dixie1, I'll spend my Christmas with my family and other loved ones. Whenever this very special day of the year comes, we just happily celebrate it together by wholeheartedly sharing hearty meals, many fascinating stories, and simply enjoying each other's company. After all, to my mind, Christmas is essentially about spending time with your family and being happy with them. Have a truly merry Christmas and Happy myLotting! ;)

I will spend to much money on gifts, like many other years. I will eat lots of great food and be glad my kids are happy and healthy.
