Where do you go to school?

I am currently going online at NAU, National American University. I am majoring in Business Management and will hopefully have my bachelors in about a year. I then plan on finishing off my bachelors in Accounting since there are only like 18 credits that are different from my Management degree, but I have to take those classes on campus. Anywho this is what I want to know, what school do you attend, is it online on campus or both and what is your degree area?

Norwich University Both online & campus residency Masters of Business Administration (MBA) May I ask what your plans are with your degree? Do you plan to work in the accounting industry, or do you prefer to work in an accounting role within a company that is in a different industry (e.g., manufacturing, retailing, etc)? ...or, are you thinking of something entirely different (e.g., public accounting for a municipality)?

I appreciate your response! I first thought that I would like to own my own CPA firm and that would be all. I don't think of Accounting as a very exciting field but there will always be taxes and we will always have to pay them. So therefore it seemed like a wise future move. However I have also always had the dream of some day opening my own restaurant/bar because I love to cook and while it may be deemed a menail job, I have often filled in the gaps with money situations with waitressing and I quite enjoy it! I am currently working for a major national restaurant and am close to management. I want to see how it is done and then eventually some day open my own restaurant. I will of course on the side continue the CPA portion of my future to make sure that I have a back - up plan. I have a small business already but it is mainly income taxes prep and I would like to get into doing more bookkeeping and quarterly taxes for businesses. I also plan on going and becoming bilingual in Spanish after I receive my degrees from NAU. I am not sure where all I know is that NAU does not offer that at this time. I figure with a Bachelors in Management and a Bachelors in Accounting with my CPA license and then to be bilingual in a country where it is almost manadatory I should be a pretty stong competitor in the work force until I can make m dreams a reality!

It sounds like you have given some real thought to your long-term career. In my humble opinion, planning is a great habit, especially when one takes a "best / worst / most likely" approach. While the best/worst/likely approach is generally used in business planning, I feel it applies to personal planning too. Keep it up and you will do well. :)
