Well, about a year ago I saved up some cash and bought an acoustic Fender. I took lessons, but I was put under a lot of pressure from my grandmother to be successful (possibly because my mom played bass in a rock band). So I quit. Now I have decided that I am going to learn to play it again. Only this time I won't be taking lessons, I have to teach myself. At least I have the basic knowledge! Heh, and when i took my guitar out of the case, i notice a peice of the nut had broken off...Strange. It wasn't being bumped around or anything. Huh

Yeah I know how that is. When there is too much pressure on us to succeed doesn't matter how much we enjoy doing it we will get stress out and quit. I am glad to hear that you are going to start playing again. Hopefully this time you realize that you are doing it because you want to and doesn't matter if you get to succeed in a way others want you to or not. You will be successful in doing something you really wanted to do and enjoy doing. Hope you have tons of fun with the guitar after you get it fix.... Take care and good luck....If others pressure you because they love you and want the world for you just smile and tell them I will do my best...because that is what they really want from you in the first place.

It was probably just the pressure of the strings that broke it! Well I'm glad you have revived your decision to learn to play some more guitar! I am a guitar player myself, and I have never regretted the sacrifices I put in to accomplish this!
