Do you keep raw vegetables in your refrigerator until they start to rot? Do you feel guilty when you have to throw them away uneaten? About a month ago, I resolved to eat better. And, so off to the grocery store we went, to stock up on fresh fruit and vegetables. And, while all of the fresh fruit was quickly eaten, many of the vegetables went to waste. We used the raw potatoes and onions in our chicken dishes. But,the celery was not such a big hit. Just today I was going through the refrigerator and found the last remaining stalks of long wilted celery. Even then, I hesitated to throw it out. Sure it went bad two weeks ago, but that stuff is so expensive. Who wants to waste? Now that I've confessed it, maybe I'll go back and dump the whole celery container in the trash. Luckily for me, the carrots lasted a big longer. So, I will be able to use those in upcoming dishes. Thank goodness for root vegetables!

I will throw it away when it start to rot and also when it is just a little bit on the top. Because one it has been green the stuff come inside even we don't see it, so you cannot just cut the rotten part, but throw away all thing. If you will eat it, it can cause cancer. Sure I am sad if it is have been waste, but better liek get sick from something. I am trying to buy only so much we need and if I have more i would put half to the freezer.

I always feel bad when i have to throw away rotten food so i try to make something up just to consume all of them... I try to buy only the vegetables that i will use immediately... but sometimes i still have a lot of leftovers... so what i do is i cook the them into soup... that way i have a healthy food and no leftovers left to rot inside the fridge...

1. only required quantity of vegetables are purchased. 2. It is purchased once in 3 days or 2 days and hence chances of it becoming rotten are remote. 3. If it becomes rotten within 2 days, it is returned to the vendor. 4. It is generally believed that the refrigeration can maintain the vegetable condition as it is in whatever condition it is brought.
