Could you eat one pound of vegetables at one sitting?

Do you think it's possible to eat a pound of raw or cooked vegetables in one sitting? Have you ever eaten a plate of raw or cooked vegetables with no meats or bread type foods? Yesterday, I found a huge canned of collard greens in the cabinet and decided to serve it with supper. But, after I opened the can, I realized that there was way too much inside the big can to serve with one single dinner. And, even though everyone got a healthy serving of collard greens, we still had half a can left in the refrigerator. I'm not sure we'll eat those anytime soon. I think there was at least two pounds of collard greens in that can. Who could eat that much? I suppose if money were involved or there were some sort of contest, then I would feel compelled to eat massive amounts of yucky green vegetables again. But, otherwise, I might limit my consumption from now on. What's the largest amount of vegetables you've ever eaten at one time?

No, that would be too much for me to hold in my tummy, I could probably do with a half pound.

Through out the summer we try to live off our garden as much as possible so we eat big plates of salad for dinner. I am not sure the weight. Plus we use a variety. I am not sure I could do that much of just one thing.

When I was two I ate 3/4 of a pound of broccoli. For some reason unknown to me now, I loved the stuff. When my mom realized I liked it so much, she'd let me eat it for snacks and stuff. But one day the only thing I would eat was broccoli. So for breakfast, lunch, and supper that one day all I had was that broccoli. But then late that night I threw it all up and that was the last time my mom let me do that. : )

Hello beauty queen. I can eat a plate of vegetables as I love vegetables very much. Most of the time I buy vegetables and love to cook it by either my wife or by myself in the kitchen. I love vegetables as they offer us a lot of vitamines that our body needs. I could always eat my rice without any meat. Thanks for your discussion, dear friend.

I guess it depends on the vegetable. I could probably eat a pound of cooked broccoli without much of a problem, but not much else. I serve at least one vegetable with dinner every night. I can not honestly say how much vegetables I have eaten at one time.
