Use a green onion. Cut the white tip off green onion so the onion is juicy. Rub onion (juicy tip) on baby's gums. Onion juice relieves the pain of teething. This is an old Apache indian remedy my grandfather told me about, I used it on my 3 children, and it works great.

I have heard that teething tablets work very well. I never used them but recently bought them for a friend. They are herbal I found them at CVS.

Let him suck one something cold, like a frozen teething ring or a popsicle.

Use pure vanilla and rub it on his gums where it seems to hurt. This will numb it. Also give him a bit of real lemon juice to stem the drooling. Give him stuff to bite, like plastic toys and teething biscuits.

I always used cold teething rings for my baby during teething. I've also heard of putting a damp washcloth in the freezer for a few minutes, something to chew on. Pacifiers helps as well.
