How many have visited St. Louis and rode the tram to the top of the arch? I did once and when I got to the top, turned right around and went back down. It's a beautiful monument but I could feel the slight sway at the very top and scared the bazonkers out of me.

I went to St. Louis a few years ago. I think it was back in 2006. It was really a great site on the top of the Gateway Arch. It was also pretty interesting to ride in the tram that sent up at an angle. I have been on a lot of rides at amusement parks and in trams in different cities as well. However, the Arch was extremely unique.
I really enjoyed the view as well. I had forgotten my camera on the trip, but ended up buying one of those disposable cameras on my way there. I took pictures from above the Gateway Arch, and just kept going around from the top with my camera. Once I got the pictures developed, it was pretty interesting to put the pictures side by side. It was excellent.
I even wrote an article about visiting St. Louis on a budget if anyone is thinking of going there, they can read about different things that there are to do in the city for free. http://www.ehow.com/how_5555337_travel-st-louis-budget.html

I went up in the Arch once. It was pretty cool to see everybody down on the ground looking like little ants. My son thought it was awesome. We lived less than a mile from the arch for almost 3 years. Sometimes we would go there at night so he could run up and down all the stairs.
